He got quite a bit guaranteed so he'll be laughing all the way to the local bank no doubt. I just have that memory of him wimping out in a Championship game a couple of years ago and leaving it to his back-up to try and get them out of the doo-doo. I can't say I have seen his wife before.

I am sure Dalton will be fine.

| Knew we would beat Bengals. We are much better than our 9-7 record shows. Having lost 3 or 4 games in last 30 seconds or overtime as well.
We've beaten Denver already at their place but don't think we will do it again. If we do, excellent. If not, it's been a good season for us and it's onwards and upwards from here. Hopefully we will keep our OC as he has done a great job and will only get better next year when Green becomes our no.1 TE slot play and also Alexander and Floyd back.
In the offseason we need to look at mainly our secondary. Struggled a lot this year and is my main place for concern. Maybe 1 more Line Backer also.

I agree on pretty much every point. I had the Chargers down to beat the Bengals. The run game has been outstanding over the past month, along with a better defence and both came through. Melvin Ingram (coupled with Jarrett Johnson's return) has made a massive diference since coming back. He's transformed a pourous defence to a capable one.
I would love to keep Whiz but can't see it hapening unfortunately. I think he'll be in Detroit next year. He has been great working alongside McCoy and Reich. If he does go, I fully expect Frank Reich to take the reins next year, which I'll be happy with. I wouldn't be too upset to see Chudzinski coming back to SD a the OC as another option.
Offseason wise, I will trust Telesco as he has made some great decisions this year, excluding the Derek Cox deal - which was widely congratulated by journalists! Woodhead, Dunlap, Reinhart and Reggie Walker have all made big contributions. Draft wise we couldn't have done better than we have with Fluker, Te'o and Allen in the first 3 picks. Three starters and one who should win rookie of the year. In the off season I would like to see a pass rusher to pair with Ingram and a top end CB to play opposite Shareece, do that and I'll be delighted! We have to pay Butler too. Get that tied up the first week of our off season.

| Definitely need a pass rusher as you said and a Corner Back. They would be my first picks in draft as well as seeing what becomes available on FA. We have to get Butler tied up next year. Along with my main man Te'o and Ingram we are building some good youth.
I'd love to bring in a kick returner with pace. It's a position we've struggled in all year. Can't remember us having a big return this year??
On offense there's not much I would do at all. Maybe if somebody is available I'd strengthen our OL but it hasn't done too bad.
Anyway, Bring on Denver. Last 4 Super Bowl winners have all played there first away game of season in Philly. Team to play first there this season??....
Chargers!!

| Tough loss to the 49ers.
Our defence held in there but just couldn't get it done on that final drive. Jarrett Bush is absolutley ridiculous in thinking he can sack Kaepernick on 3rd and 8 rather than contain and make them attempt a longer field goal. In game injuries on defence just crushed us as they got big plays in spots where Shields would be (long conversion to Crabtree, the 3rd and 8 conversion and the potential interception). At points we had to change schemes to a quasi 4 - 3 because we had 1 fit OLB.
Dom Capers has done excellent things for us but we have to learn to control running QB's or he'll end up gone. We are likely to face them for the forseable future in the playoffs so we need to be able to handle it better.
All in all it has been a decent enough season for us all considerered.

| Really enjoyed the weekends games,my GB 1 and done prediction was correct but the Packers D played better than I thought they would and gave them a chance to win.
The only suprise was not Chargers winning but how easy it turned out to be,Lewis doesn't seem to be able to coach a team to win in the playoffs, instead of looking at Dalton maybe people should be looking at Lewis.
As for the other 2 games the Chiefs must have thought they were already into the next round at half time, how lucky are Indy they have a decade with PM at QB then they have 1 bad year and pick up Luck.
The Saints for me are the dark horses left in the playoffs,if their D can play decent at Seattle they have enough on O to shock the Seahawks.

| Went 2/4 on my predictions for the Wild Card although Chiefs really should have won regardless of the comeback! Was slightly surprised by the Bengals losing. Guess I overrated them. Dalton is like a worse version of Stafford in the way that usually half of his throws seemingly rely on just heaving it in the general area of his best receiver with little regard for accuracy.
Hoping for Colts vs Broncos and Saints vs Panthers in the Conference Championships but my guess is that it'll be Patriots, Broncos, Seahawks and 49ers who advance, an awful scenario given that three of those four teams are the ones I dislike the most in the NFL!

| I'm going
Chargers @ Indy
49ers @ Seattle
Tough to call both games. I think we have enough to upset the apple cart. Played them twice this year and beat them at their place and only lost by 8 at Qualcomm. Going to come down to both Ds I think as it could be a high scoring one.
I took Indy as the outsiders before the play offs to do well and think they will beat NE with the 2 favourites winning in the NFC.

| Great weekend of NFL action, the Chargers being the only real surprise, they look really up for it though. Another 4th quarter loss for Aaron Rodgers, 5-25 when entering the 4th behind, 0-3 against playoff teams this season. Chokeadoodledo. Andrew Luck is big time, easily the best young qb despite some looneys on here (conroy)saying RG3 would be better coming out of college. Four great games again this week.

| I'm surprised people are tipping the Colts to go all the way. I don't think they're ready yet and for me I'd take all 7 of the other teams left in the playoffs to beat them. They started off the season really well but they've been too inconsistent since Reggie Wayne went down. They may well beat the Patriots (I hope they do!) but I'd be surprised to see them win 3 in a row. Saying that, I really should learn from past teams who've gone on a run to win it when nobody expected them to!
