Hulls midfield is no more woeful than Newcastle's, that's why it's a strange statement. It was arguably the weakest area in your relegated team. Hull's problems were up front, plain and simple. |

Which is exactly my point. Whether you were simply trying to be funny/clever or honestly believe it, you seem to be saying that Newcastle have a far superior midfield to Hull City. This is simply far from the case. |

I wasn't saying that at all. Nolan is better than Ashbee, so he's an improvement on what you currently have. It's also good for us because Nolan isn't very good and is exactly the type of player we don't need, allowing us to bring in someone with a bit of pace. |

Not the case IMO. The defence was OK but the midfield and strikeforce were really poor. Newcastle's midfield was superior to hull's however it was still pretty dire and as Ash has said Nolan was a huge contributor. Not the player he once was (a huge theme throughout Newcastle's squad). |
