I don't think Mayweather has anything more than average power for world level. He wore Hatton down with a large accumulation of shots. Pac Man has big power in the left hand and sent Hatton reeling in the first round. Ward is not a one punch knock out artist but then again neither is Carl! I do think Froch hits harder than Ward however.

As Matt said he'll get jabbed to defeat, not a hope.

Very nice opening round from Kell Brook. Think he's someone who the Americans may take to pretty nicely.

Also my good friend Nick Blackwell won in Trowbridge tonight - bit of a shame that Concepcion pulled out injured a few weeks back, but he beat a good southpaw, and will fight Concepcion in March.

Far too easy for Ward as I predicted. I scored it 119 - 109, with Froch marginally shading the 5th for me.

Froch is a decent boxer, but Ward is a class above. Could dominate this division for a long time.

Ward was very impressive especially coming in after Froch jabs with the left.

Ward was too quick and sharp for Froch. Perhaps a couple of years ago Froch may have been able to close him down more quickly but he looked like he'd been through the Super Six mill i.e. he looked his age last night.

I think, in hindsight, the fight went exactly how most people would have expected....No shame for Froch, but he was outclassed by a very good boxer....However, once more in a big fight, the judges' assessment of the bout has to be questioned?

How did 2 of the judges seriously give Froch 5 rounds??? ......Luckily, it didn't affect the outcome, but you really have to wonder what the hell those 2 guys were watching in order to come up with the scores they did - Surely, its time for the powers-that-be to sort out what is becoming a bit of a joke for the sport?

Froch's hands and especially feet just not quick enough at that highest highest level. Certainly no disgrace though and in my opinion our finest boxer of this current generation.

the thing with ward is he is very effective at wat he does but its boring...thats why the americans havent really taken him to heart and will not be able to match the massive box office money the likes of mayweather, hopkins pacman etc

Mayweather is every bit as boringly clinical and defensively safe as Ward. Ward will be a huge star after this, hope he takes on Bute next. Froch Kessler over here is the next one I want to see.
