I personally think Gerrard should have got it, but it's still great to see some of the people who "support" Liverpool upset.

He's actually started 24 games this season and featured in 40 so that's a bit unfair.
It's a PFA award so we have to think that professional footballers know more than you (shudder) and me (double shudder). I accept that sentimentality may have assisted a bit but it's not as if they started a Facebook group to make sure all the votes went to Giggs.
The only problem I have with this award is that they vote for it far too early. They should be voting for it now. |
