He may well be kicking off and demanding a move behind the scenes. Any person in any job has to be at least give serious consideration to doubling or trippling your pay?

A debate we often have in the pub. It's all relative innit. Tripling my current salary would make a massive difference to my circumstances and lifestyle. But if I was already on, say, £50k a week, tripling that would be irrelevant. It's a ridiculous amount of money being tripled to another ridiculous amount of money and makes naff all difference.
The numbers the very top players are getting amounts to little other than a male appendage measuring contest, the perception of how great, important etc you are because there's another zero on your pay slip compared to the other guy.
