The myths around Wayne Rooney are just ridiculous. He's got a lot of goals this season, but along with those goals he's also missed a hatful. But every time he misses the "He scores 9/10 of those chances", "He's shown his human" and "Only Rooney can something like that" comments come out.

Those sort of comments are trotted out about pretty much every goalscorer in top level football. The same would be said about Drogba, Ronaldo and many more. |

When Messi scored his lob against Arsenal, the commentator said 'only Messi could do that'. Erm, nope. Pienaar did it quiteeee afew months before him actually. |
