In fact why bother with a table at all? Celtic and Rangers could just toss up for the title, or alternate with Oxford and Cambridge in the Boat Race.  |

It happened a couple of years ago, IIRC, one team who finished in 7th had more points than the team in 6th, and even 5th I think.
Only the jocks could make up an idea like that and approve it to their premier division. |
