Yeah I agree, it would make a good fight. Calzaghe has a great record but his last few fights have been against people on their way down.
Froch said Calzaghe said no to a fight between them 2 before.

| Quote roughyedspud="roughyedspud"ODLH is still the main player in all this, he can cultivate, and thats the right word, the best part of $400million from the next 3 big fights because he promotes himself, hatton & pacman through golden boy promotion...and as soon as 'money' mayweather see's the money knocking about he'll be back in the gym before you can blink
fight 1
him v hatton @ wembley, a farewall for ODLH in the biggest fight ever, largest attendance, most buys on ppv etc...and a further boost to hatton mantle as ODLH successor as biggest graw in boxing
fight 2 & 3 with hatton v pacman v mayweather..
mayweather v pacman would be a classic...hatton v either of them would be a massacre cos the other to are on a different planet..'"
It sounds to me like after last night Oscar is mentally and physically spent now. For him to fight on would be foolish IMO. Once a boxer has gone, he has gone. Why not take it easy and earn his millions from just promoting fights?

I think I read a report claiming Froch's camp had offered 5 million to Calzaghe, of which he turned down.
Not seen the fight from last night yet but it sounds as if Froch looked pretty good and with the added challenge of Calzaghe I am sure he would step up another level.

Yeah I have heard Froch mention it a few times!
Just been on Sky Sports news saying that Froch wants to fight him and they will make an offer Calzaghe can not refuse

Kessler was no better than European level, only 2 names stand out on his record and one was because he was a former RL player.
It was to early for Lacy who was far to inexperienced, Calzghe did put on a fantastic performance and used Lacy as a punch bag.

| From Watching The Pre Match Get Together It Looked As If Jean Pascal Had Psyched Out Carl Froch From The Stare Down And When They Were Doing The Introductions Pascal Looked To Have The Edge For Me With Froch Looking Nervous...
In The End All That Mattered Was Carl Froch Picking Up A Tremendous Victory And He Has One Hell Of A Chin On Him, It Looks Like He Could Take Those Punches All Day Long!...

| Fight of the night easily goes to Froch vs Pascal.
What a fight that was! From the first ring of the bell they were toe to toe fro the full 12 rounds.
They must have both been mighty fit to do that. Most 12 round fights have at least a few rounds weighing each other up/running round the ring avoiding each other.
Froch looks like he could dominate the division, especially if he tightens up his defence a little. Though with a chin like that, who needs defence?
