They can't. But the facts of his career thus far are more indicative of that than your claim.

| Quote st.stephen="st.stephen"And,conversely,how can anyone claim he will score a hatful?I guess we`ll see!Out of curiosity what is his goals/game ratio for Argentina?,seeing as his scoring record was brought up.
PS.Hilda would`ve stuck those tap-ins away v Stoke,WBA? and perhaps got equally as lucky v Wigan.Anyone remember the numerous chances missed in the Champions league final v Chelsea?
£35 mill,plus similar in wages?No thanks.Fergie was spot on.'"
Fergie was spot on? eventhough he agreed the £25 million asking price and offered Tevez a five year contract that he turned down, how can Fergie be spot on. Tevez walked away, not United sending him packing.
I never claimed he would score a hat full, I just wanted to know how you know he won't score many next season. You are still missing the point.

Therefore, that would beg the question-why did Tevez choose to leave the World Champions and Premier League Champions to go to Manchester City?Given that,he stated today that he wouldn`t sign for/respect a coach who guaranteed him a starting place? For the "PROJECT"?.
Wasn`t the problem that he didn`t get a regular starting place?Blah,blah,etc......Answers on the back of a tenner please.

| Quote fc baldy="fc baldy"Hull City agree to sign Sunderlands Daryl Murphy for 1.5m........failed to score in 27 appearances last season.......Just got to love Phil Browns policy of signing strickers who cant score.'"
Appartently he can play Left-Mid and according to a few Sunderland fans hes a better Midfielder than Striker.
So fingers crossed he wont be signed as a striker!

| there's no point acting like a school kid who's been dumped about tevez, he's gone
- scored some VITAL goals for United in 2 very succesful years
- seemed to think he got a raw deal in terms of starts
- he acted the ar$e a bit in the media a bit back end of the season.
- city were prepared to pay what was wanted for him, and presumably a lot more in wages.
all things considered - he did a good job for united but it's time for him to move on.
united did not value his worth as he or city do.

Do you need midfielders though...they may produce the ammo but who is going to fire it.

| Tevez is a great signing for city. He's a mercenary, but then again, they all are to a certain extent - that's part of being a professional. What he is above everythig else, is a bloody hard working mercenary. It'll be interesting to see how he works with Adebayor.
Fascinating to see how city go next year. Is it going too far to say that 5th next season would be a failure?
