They paid £18m for a pathetic right back in Johnson so can never ever moan about not being able to spend money. In order to win the Premier League Liverpool realistically need 2 centre backs, 2 fullbacks, two central midfielders, two wide midfielders and two strikers. What did he think would happen when that ponce Goldylocks got injured? Why did he spend £15m+ on an Italian midfielder who had been injured for a year? What happens now is Torres goes home and picks up a copy of the DVD editing software Leon Pryce is using. He gets himself a move in January or at least the end of the season. Liverpool spend the money on a couple of players, see an upturn in form and predict that 'next season is ours' again.
