I thought Carragher was lucky with his challenge. It could easily have been given, but often isn't. With it being in the penalty area referees are obviously going to be wary of making a mistake and err on the side of caution.
If Fletcher challenge was to be deemed acceptable then the Blackburn's and Bolton's of this world would be doing it to you every time they play you. You'd soon be bitching about it then.
I'm still puzzled though how United fans think Fletcher won the ball when the ball went behind him after the challenge.'"
Fletcher didnt touch Ashley Cole, he jumped in the air in a way that has only been seen from him previously when mobile phones have been around. |

I think its been stated on here already that it was a penalty, yet it didn't matter as in the same passage of play Arshavin spanked the ball into the top corner |

I agree it was a bit dodgy.
But that's the price that everyone pays, Steven Gerrard excepted, when you go into the area and are prepared to go over if there's a strong breeze.
If Drogba had gone down under similar pressure you'd be screaming at him for diving. Same with Wes Brown's desire to hit the ground when the goal was scored. |
