Past it maybe, but he'd still be favourite against Ricky purely for his size. Hatton/Pacquiao would be a better fight - two fighters pretty much in their prime.'"
Although I hate to admit it and would thoroughly voice my support for Hatton, I think defeat is on the cards against either fighter, De La Hoya, although passed it, has experienced weight divisions ranging from 130 to 160 lbs so its not like he will be boarding new territory if he agrees to fight hatton at 140 or more so 147
But Hatton should fear Pacquiao more just for his sheer explosive knockout punches he posseses, We will determine whether Floyd Snr's techniques have truely worked there magic, as I think it was unfair to judge this after fighting a pathetic excuse of a "boxer" in Paulie Maginaggli
I just hope his next fight isn't many moons away.

De La Hoya would be a massive fight both in the UK and US and would be an obvious choice, what has happened to Cotto these days?

Im big fan of Cotto and his style but he got dismantled in his last fight vs Antonio Margarito, yet again he showed a lack of fitness in the latter rounds of the fight and ultimately lost it.

| Awesome fight, Hatton looked close to (if not) back to his best. Malignaggi wouldn't do a thing about it. He showed signs of the Kosta Tyszu (if I spelt it right) fight.
James Kirkland is one to watch out for the future, that boy has one heck of a punch on him.

Special talent. His record is phenominal even at 24 and IIRC he has just signed with Golden Boy promotions to, so expect to see plenty more of him over the next 12 months.
Interestingly as a side note he is trained by a woman.

Cotto will be back soon. He fought at the end of July, so it's not that long since his last fight. I imagine he'll have a tune up fight to get some confidence back before going for Margarito again or a big name fighter. Who knows, maybe Ricky will step up to Welter again to face him?

Awesome young fighter. They call him the 'new Tyson' and you can see why. He battered Vera the other day, although he's a bit suspect defensively so some areas to work on. But, he's a great talent and I'm surer we'll see him dominate the middleweight divisions in the next 10 years.
