What has he ACTUALLY achieved?

what exactly has he done, he has not even reached a grand slam final even.

Four times on home soil, carrying the entire country's expectations, has he reached the final 4 of an international sport.

He has managed to achieve the distinction at one time of being the #4 player in the world in an international sport.

He has won 13 single titles and reached a final on a further 14 occasions.

I don't care if he has never won Wimbledon. Yes, it is disappointing, very disappointing to have come so close four times but to have never reached the final, but that does not diminish from what has been an outstanding career.

Not having it, at the end of a tennis players career only thing that matters is grand slams. How many of them have you got.

And how many of them "don't count".

Yes, it is disappointing that Henman has not reached a Grand Slam Final, but to not recognise the succeess he has achieved is insane.

We obviously value success differently then don't we. To Me henman is nothing but mediocre or average, you have bought into this henman is a great tennis player. I refuse to.

In the big tournaments he has choked along with henman. Unless mediocrity is what you want. Henman had the potential to win atleast a grand slam, montgomerie had the potential to win more than a major. Yet when we add them both together

We get a big fat zero.

Both have had great careers and given their all, they have both been unlucky in major tournaments.

He's won a Masters series tournament in Paris, couple of doubles titles and a few ATP tour titles.

That's about it. Never been in a Grand Slam final. Hell, even Rusedski got to the US Open final in '97........okay, so he got caned by Pat Rafter, but he got there!

I'm guessing if getting to the Semi Final is "mediocre" then her achievements are positively worthless.
