| Had three bets today - I've yet to see Mossey Joe win but my mate in Southern Ireland's pointing world tells me that he looks a bit of a beast in her opinion, 4/1 in the 7:50 Tipp
Also fancy Faultless Feelings @ 10/1 in the 20:20 Tipp who was impressive in winning an ordinary 2m 4f 4yo Maiden on his only start between the flags and Fiddlededee in the 7:20 - who's priced at 10/1 also, she was travelling well in a good mares final when coming to grief five from the finish - but for that mishap she could be 2/2 thus far.

| Kentucky Derby
Stately Victor - The first leg of the US Triple Crown takes place on Saturday night, whilst it's lost some of its allure for many with the defection of ante-post favourite Eskendereya and the well fancied Endorsement the prospect of a wet track for the second year on the trot really does intrigue me. Last years renewal saw plenty of early pace and a massive homestretch effort from rank outsider Mine That Birdwho came charging through the pack in the mud to go clear of a number of those who raced handy. Whilst I don't expect Stately Victor to be coming from quite that far back he should be finishing late and fast and like Mine That Bird's sire Birdstone, Stately Victor's sire Ghostzapper also has a good record with his progeny on a wet track. Stately Victor himself has yet to encounter the slop and looked unremarkable prior to his last start when a change of jockey from Julien Leparoux to Alan Garcia appeared to work the magic for him with a late stretch run to win the Bluegrass Stakes (G1) going away. He appears to be peaking at just the right time and I'm hopeful of a big big run from him

Thank your mate for Mossey Joe, I had read someone else fancied it on another board and remember it was put on here also.
Well done for the 7:20 and therefore i'll have a stab at your fancy in the last at tipp.

Man alive.
Did them as singles, doubles & a treble. So, so close to a massive amount of money.
Great effort, nearly had kittens five minutes back.
Thanks CP.

| Thanks all - can't take any credit for Mossey Joe but the horse won like my mate told me it would, proper horse even if his jumping isn't that great.
Fiddlededee won ridiculously easily in the Mares Pointers bumper - it was won by the very classy For Bill last season and I'd be surprised if we didn't hear a lot more about Fiddlededee in the next year or so, took some 14/1 this morning "Tracked leaders, 4th halfway, went 2nd travelling best approaching straight, led under 2f out, eased clear final furlong, very easily". Interesting race from a punting point of view with the third having fallen in the same race that the winner ran in at Ballynoe as did the fourth who occupied fourth in that point too.
Faultless Feelings was eight in the end - ran a nice enough race but not the same support behind him as there was behind the mare but he looked like he'd appreciate a step up in trip at some point.
Mossey Joe won very easily - he was ridden like a horse who pulls very hard and can run free (as happened in his first point) in that he was regularly tucked in behind horses by his jockey until exiting the back straight when he went on. Looks the type to improve with time.
Hope everyone had a profitable day

I'll take that. Disappointing in the snooker with frames 1 & 2 easily passing the 100 mark and frame 3 ending with 90, but Leigh have offset that with their late try.

| Good stuff MZH - was on +16 Dewsbury myself and it lands on the handicap yet again this season in a lower league RL match. Some people might start talking

| 1000 Guineas
Nurture - The main focus in this race in recent weeks seems to have been on the eclipse of French filly Special Duty at Maisons-Lafitte on her seasonal debut. With most of the value having gone at the head of the market and some pretty major doubts surounding the leading contenders - Special Duty (will she stay?), Music Show (stamina?), Seta (ground?), Rumoush (trip too short?) etc. and the recent gamble on Pollenator has led me towards the second of trainer Ralph Beckett's two runners. Although stable jockey Jim Crowley rejects her there are still plenty of reasons to get involved with this potentially decent filly. She contested the Montrose Fillies Stakes over Sunday's course and distance last October in which she was beaten a head by Henry Cecil's Timepiece (unlucky in running when beaten by Rumoush in the Fielden Stakes on her return) with Clarietta 4 1/2 lengths back in third. Clarietta had previously been beaten 4 1/4 lengths by fellow Guineas rival Pollenator (currently 8/1) whilst the fourth placed Marie De Medici has had two starts thus far this season - most notably when finishing third in the previously mentioned Fielden Stakes to Rumoush (7/1 for this) and there's no reason why Nurture should be 8-10 times bigger than the two who on certain lines of form you could say that she holds. Nurture is used to big fields having previously raced against the colts in a sales race at The Curragh - in which she finished third of the nineteen runners beaten just a quarter of a length. She seems to have sneaked under the radar in this and providing she's trained on for her new trainer she is of definite each-way interest.

Put it this way, there was 7 of us sat in the pub awaiting the result. We unfortunately turned to shots when we found out it had lost. £63 going onto a 10/1 horse. I was nearly rising but brought back down to earth.
Still, i know who to follow with 5/6 since Saturday!

Well in Carneys Pint missed them in work on yours for tomorrow and Canford Cliffs 8/1 E/W.
St Nicholas Abbey could easily romp home in this though.
