| Quote: Robbie Rotten "Good or bad?'"
It was always going to happen.
When he first got back into the side, I was very critical of his performances, as he certainly looked like the weak link. However, his last few games he has looked back to something like his best.
Still questions over his injuries though. However, him been at the club can only help Rafael improve so that he is finally ready to take over full time.
We could end up in a situation where Fergie, VDS, Giggs, Scholes and Neville all leave at the same time though, which would be fairly problematic.

I am convinced it will take a period of serious ill health for Fergie to go. Either that or death.
As long as when he goes, he doesn't do a Busby and try and control the side from behind the scenes.

I have absolutely no basis to my theory on this, apart from a gut instinct, but I would not be surprised to see Ferguson retire as soon as United surpass Liverpool's total of league championships. His obsession of Liverpool matches that of Karlos

That could happen, and I don't think we'll see a count down to his retirement last time around, but I suspect (should the above be achieved in the next year or two) he would be reluctant from a young squad of players with potentially so much to achieve.

| Setanta have moved our game with Portsmouth in April from a Saturday 3pm KO to a Monday 8pm KO. Well done to whoever had that bright idea.

It wouldn't suprise me if Giggs, Scholes and Neville move down to the reserves in the next couple of years to help bring the younger lads through. ATEOTD what better role models could you have on the pitch to learn from?

Neville isn't up to it anymore. Giggs and Scholes have got a season left inside them. Then they'll both probably work with the youth team.

| Marcotti writing about Platini/Citeh:
So Stale Solbakken is the most recent guy to put the boot into Manchester City's new found riches.
He won't be the last. How fresh money coming into football will supposedly "destroy" the game is something I simply don't understand. I can see how it can harm Sheikh Mansour's bank account, I can see how it can engender jealousy, I can see how it can annoy the traditional powers-that-be who'll have to face more competition for top players. I can also see how Mansour's millions can recirculate throughout the game and make a whole load of clubs' finances more secure.
Football has been around a long time. It will take more than Sheikh Mansour's chequebook to destroy it. If anyone can convince me of the opposite, I'm happy to listen.
