I think its mainly in his imagination as it was not that bad on Sunday and did not sound too unreasonable last night, i think he is listening out for comments instead of focusing on the game he is playing. Saying that as the crowds get bigger so will the anti Hankey feeling so if he makes the latter stages then it could get interesting (especially the more he mouths off about it in his interviews).

The throw off was a let down mind you, one proper leg might have been a better option but in truth wade was right Hamilton should have gone through by virtue of beating him fair and square when they played their proper game.

It seems a fair option to me. It (in theory) means that the players should be aiming to win every leg, even in 4-0 up or 4-0 down as every leg gained could be hugely significant at the end of the group stage.

It's actually been a pretty decent week of darts IMO. I can't wait for the Worlds now.

Agree on the principal as it keeps everyone trying but it was probably because it ended in a damp squid that I made that comment.

I think one full leg would be more exciting as the pressure would build and getting a double under those circumstances would really take bottle and make the winner feel he has deserved his win (which Wade did not come accross as the way he was feeling about it).

Great tournament I agree and probably only behind the 2 World Championships in stature now I'd say.

A good thing about the tournament is that it shows that the divide between the BDO and the PDC, in terms of player quality, isn't as wide as people suggest.

I think at the top it is with Taylor Barney (if he can find his old form) and Wade being a class above, below say Terry Jenkins and Mervyn King in the rankings I think it is much of a muchness compared to the BDO but the likes of Part, Hamilton, Lewis, Mardle in particular are probably not as good as their rankings suggest and are equivalent standard to the likes of O'Shea, Fitton, Waites who would only improve if they went across to the PDC as they would have to raise their games on a more regular basis just to compete at the players championship level.

Tony O'Shea has really impressed me again this week. I hope he wins the BDO World's in January. He always seems like a nice lad, and plays decent darts.

Met a few people on Saturday there who know him and were down to support and they said he really is how he comes across on TV and I would have no complaints if he was to win the World Champs (or even the Grand Slam).
