| Quote Dave Lister="Dave Lister"The object of a "wildcard" is lost on you isn't it?'"
No, but what I think may be lost on you is that Waites and Hankey play for [urival[/u organisations. If last week the PDC would have announced that Hankey was in the Premier League he would have immediately been kicked out of the Lakeside and the BDO. It just would not happen.
Plus, neither of them have a tour card for the PDC, so how can they be in the Premier League? FWIW, all four semi-finalists from the Lakeside do get offered tour cards by the PDC for two years, but obviously it's too late for the PL because it's all been announced.
PS. All those who backed Dekker, you've lost you're money. Eliminated by Kist, who looks the only threat to Winstanley in his quarter of the draw.

Yes, that certainly stopped Raymond van Barneveld The PDC could have easily delayed the announcement, there was no urgency to it.

So what? You think the PDC care about tour cards when they could bring Hankey over? I'm perfectly aware who gets awarded tour cards, thanks for informing me though.

Again, thanks for letting us know our bet lost, we haven't been watching the darts at all. Obviously every 33/1 shot posted on here should be a winner, apologies.

| Mate, I wasn't being sarcy, cocky or anything like that when I was on about Dekker. Apologies if it came across. Unlike some, I don't come on here to cause arguments. I come on to talk about subjects I have an opinion, in this instance darts.
All I'd say is I think the case of RvB (four time world champ and THE man in the BDO at the time of his switch), compared to Hankey, who is no.15 seed at the lakeside and someone who clearly struggles with a crowd and has resisted PDC approaches before, are very different. As much as I like Waites, think he may have missed his chance after his Grand Slam win.

| The seeding in the BDO is screwed, the fact that he is the 15th seed by no means means that he is the 15th best player in the BDO this year, as I'm sure you know. After this years GSOD, it was quite clear that Ted was more than sympathetic towards the PDC, and he put in some decent performance there - seems to raise his game when on a bigger stage, I can't blame him for lacking motivation in the BDO. He'd certainly sell more tickets than Painter. I agree to an extent about Waites however.

I agree. He would sell more tickets than Painter. And I agree about the BDO seedings, I would more than welcome Ted Hankey in the PDC, because at the end of the day he is a character. He'd be the new Peter Manley. And that's what darts needs.
His stock goes up even more after tonight, Waites yet again flattering to decieve at the Lakeside with just an 86 average.
And Winstanley loses to Alan Norris. The draw has opened up wide for Adams, again

| My 14/1 on Ted not looking bad now. Saw he was as short as 11/4 in the bookies today, so will do a small trade for a nice profit.

The BDO making complete and utter fools of themselves again with the write up of the Dobromyslova-Gulliver game, with some complete bias here: www.bdodarts.com/1625/12-01-2012 ... each_final
Some examples:
Quote Dobromyslova, clearly slowing the game and playing the crowd'"
Quote the snarling black-shirted Russian'"
Quote the unseeded East European played mind games to topple the Golden Girl'"
And, apparently.. The BDO made her change her flights before she went on stage because they had 'Unicorn' on them.

| Why might he have just had a meltdown? Because he's coming to the PDC, it's all been confirmed practically. He apparently refused to sign the restrictive contract all BDO semi-finalists have to sign, saying they'll be back next year. He was refusing to play his semi-final until the BDO buckled, and realised they needed him.

I can't see him coping too well with the more raucous atmospheres that he'll encounter in the PDC to be honest never mind the far superior standard of darts. The way he was wingeing about the crowd, a supposed breeze and then chucking his darts anywhere in the board after he was broken in the final set was ridiculous.
