| Quote: Dita's Slot Meter "I don't think it will be easy for Klitschko, but logic does indicate that the Ukranian should win.....He has all the physical advantages and as the saying goes, '....a good big 'un will always beat a good little 'un...'
.....However, there are still serious doubts that Klitschko is a 'good 'un'....Yes, he is a big unit, who for the most part, in recent years, as made easy work of his opponents, but the level of those opponents have to be seriously questioned.
The one thing that Haye has to do is to pressure Klitschko into a zone which he has not encountered for years....He has to use his speed advantage and make his opponent 'chase' him and leave him open for the fight-finishing counter shot, which is Haye's only realistic chance of winning.
Overall, my head says Klitschko, either by a dour points win or by Haye walking onto one, but my patriotic heart says that Haye will KO Wlad late on as the big guy tires and his chin becomes more exposed to the counter.'"
I think I got it pretty spot on....
The main problem I have with Haye is that for a so-called 'legacy' fight, he didn't put enough of himself on the line....Most disappointing was that at the end he seemed proud of himself because he took a few shots to the chin and stayed on his feet!!
As I had a feeling that it might, it all turned into a bit of an anti climax....Klitschko is still too cautious a fighter to ever be taken seriously as a Heavyweight champion. The first sign of any flak coming his way and his chin pulled back and his wrestling tactics take over.
Sadly, unless Haye delays his retirement, this result could be the final nail in the Heavyweight coffin....There is nobody out there to challenge the 2 Ukranians and unless it changes dramatically these 2 boring robots could go on for years.

| well well well
haye could talk the talk but couldnt walk the walk, then he comes out with the broken toe excuse
wlad was too good for him, shows why he has been unbeaten for so long!
haye is a cruiserweight and like wlad said a nobody in the heavyweight division.
booth was just as embarrasing, got the tactics wrong, haye couldnt get around the jab. then to slag of the ref was stupid, the ref was fine, he even deducted a point off wlad ! haye deserved to be given a knockdown the amount of times he went down like an italian footballer.
now where does haye go??? retire on a loss??!
chisora would of done better

| Haye bitched and moaned the whole fight just like Dirrell did when he fought Froch. I hate that.

| Too big, too clever, too much reach. Was like watching the playground bully fighting a kid he can keep at arms length. Thought Haye could do it, but as soon as Vlad made the ring his own and was getting Haye where he wanted him there wasn't much doubt about who would win.
Quite smart watching it in 3D too.

| What next for the Heavyweight division, unless the Klitschkos are offered an absolutely obscene amount of money that they can't refuse?

He was itching after that in the post fight interview, you could just tell he'd love to have a go at them. He'd turn both of the Klitschko's over.

| Quote: Dan_FC "The toe was broken, there's no doubt it had an impact on Haye's performance. There's noway he could launch off the foot as he would've liked, I'm not sure it would've made much difference to the outcome but it would've limited Haye.
Deary me, get a grip. The ref wasn't fine, he was a disgrace, Barry Maguigan said that too so why aren't you slagging him off?! He was a joke, that was never a knock down so shouldn't have been a count, no matter how many times Haye went down he can't just decide to count. Pathetic. That aside, there was too many punches thrown after the bell because the ref was too far away from them and everytime there was holding he was far too slow getting involved. Manny Steward and Vitali Klitschko also had a go at him, so they must be embarrassing too then? As for Booth, he was asked in his post fight interview what he though of the ref's performance so he didn't bring it up or blame anyone and he was spot on too, he was a disgrace. You're just hearing/seeing what you want now, he said nothing wrong. He didn't blame the toe either. If you think that was a fine performance by the ref, you've got low standards. Haye's a terrific boxer who was beaten by an even better one.
the toe was injected, he wouldnt of felt a thing, its embarressing he even brought it up!
yeh the ref gave it as a knockdown but it wasnt, think he was just fed up with haye falling on the floor all the time, think a point deduction should of been the better option.
haye is a cruiserweight not a heavyweight im afraid
hes down the pecking order now, wlad intrested in the winner of chisora v fury.
goodbye mr haye

That shows how poor the heavyweight division is if Klitschko's waiting on the winner of Chisora and Fury, whoever wins that'll be jab to the point of no return. Can't see either of them going far with Klitschko, probably in Germany as he seems scared to leave.
He is a cruiserweight and a very good one too but I still think he's a decent heavyweight but he was outclassed by an even better boxer. I don't get why people dislike him so much.
Suppose it could depend on when he had the injection, he could've been feeling it towards it towards the end of the fight regardless it would've been at the back of his mind and when launching off the foot it probably would've been on his mind. I don't think it would've made any difference, he still probably wouldn't have been able to get behind Klitschko's jab anyway, he might've have put him under more pressue or wobbled him more but not convinced he'd have won.
Maybe he was fed up with Haye hitting the deck so often but you can't make the rules up as you go along, it wasn't a knockdown so should never have been a count, if anything he should've taken the point off or warned him seen as didn't even do that. He was clueless in there.

| Was absolutely gutted last night but Haye never looked like winning that fight once both boxers were in the ring.
Wlad was able to get ring position right from round one and although initially he couldn't land the jab, as the fight progressed he was consistent with it.
I couldn't see what strategy Haye was fighting to. I can't believe Booth sent him out with the intention of throwing so few punches and taking so few risks. I can only assume Haye couldn't implement the game plan because he couldn't get around the jab and so ended up doing not alot.
Haye just didnt throw nearly enough punches, you're never going to win on points throwing circa 20 punches a round when you're missing with 75% of them.
Credit to Klitschko, he out worked, out thought and out boxed Haye all night long but injured toe or not, Haye can't be happy with that performance.

Dave Clark was handing out some big money for Lewis to consider. I wouldn't mind stumping up PPV money to see Klitschko given a beating.

| I hate Frank Warren.
Haye got nowhere near to implementing the plan Booth will have given him, for whatever reason.
Couple of things Haye should have done IMHO.
1) WK was throwing that jab out metronomically, and Haye was slipping many of them. However Haye was looking for that overhand right every time. Why not slip outside the jab and really have a dig at the body with the right hand? An easy scoring punch at worst, better it starts to bring Klitschko's left hand down a bit. Then the overhand right becomes more likely to find the mark.
2) Due to WK's style, finding the mark with the bi right was nigh on impossible. Haye said himself that he is susceptible to the southpaww back hand, so why not throw a lot more lead left hooks, or even consider switching which he had hinted at in the build up. That left shoulder of WK was so high up as a guard it was almost inpenetrable. I think throwing the left with more conviction would have been a riskier strategy, but he'd have gained more respect from me if he'd have gone out on his shield. You can guarentee Froch or Hatton would not be cautious going into those last rounds.

I don't want to see him go out on last night's loss, but as much as I'd like to see Chisora get chinned, it wouldn't help Haye's legacy. The only fight worth taking would be against one of the Klitschko brothers, but there's no way he could do that before his 31st (and certainly not if he wants his toe to heal fully).
Quote: Dan_FC "I see Frank Warren's sticking the boot in, surprised he's still not crying over about DeGale losing. It's pathetic he's got involved, he hates Booth for getting one over on him and DeGale when he fought Groves.'"
Can't stand Warren. Nasty piece of work who loses any fighter with real promise (and he will lose De Gale in time) either because he doesn't have the contacts on a world stage or because he doesn't pay the fighter what they're owed and as you say, his opinion isn't needed (or wanted).
