And what managerial experience does Hughton have? ? ?
Calderwood didnt exactly do brilliantly at Nottingham Forest either.
Would rather have someone there who knows and loves the club if we were to appoint someone with little experience. |

Last throw of the dice by a desperate club. They knew Kinnear couldn't come back, needed someone who would say yes immediately and didn't want to pay compensation for an employed manager who might not get them out of it. I'm not entirely surprised.
I still think they are good bets to go down.

You could also say that it is a desperate last attempt by an owner who realises that he is about as popular as a turd in a swimming pool, to try and get the fans back on side. |

In 1935 The Dragon Slayers as they were known defeated Canterbury bulldogs 91-6, which is still the biggest win in the Club's History. In 1907, the St George district had a club in the Sydney rugby union competition. Interestingly, the team's area was referred to as the 'Illawarra suburbs'. A resolution to form a St George rugby league club was made at a local meeting held in early 1908, but the movement faltered and collapsed. St George, wearing the district colours of red and white, played in the NSWRL's Third Grade competition in 1910, and formed a President's Cup team in 1911. just bought the new england shirt......very,very nice..even at £45,which is about the same that i paid for my england RL jersey...so i can't grumble
but it ain't a football shirt it's a high end 'fashion' polo shirt...without a doubt

It's changed now anyway. The 5th placed team in the South American qualifying table now plays the 4th placed team in the North American/Central America/Caribbean table.
New Zealand have won the Oceania group and will play the 5th place team from Asia.
Anyhow the point is Australia is not in Asia so should not be playing in the Asian qualifying group full stop. They can't just move continents because playing a South American team every time was to difficult!!!
