Evans in particular? I'm sure I wouldn't have a clue (or the lack of awareness to post allegations on a public messageboard). But the whole set-up at Crawley, frankly, stinks. And lest I'm accused of sour grapes, I thought that prior to the Brodie move as well.

| So how was non-league day for you? Barely two thousand at the Crescent, despite the official attendance of over 2300. Hardly surprising given the standard of football. Truly dreadful.

Sadly very true (though pending an appeal the FA have allowed tonights FA Youth Cup to go ahead). Even worse the club have basically kept everyone in the dark and considering they were taken over in March and the tax bill was from 2 years ago serious questions must be asked how they got in this mess and what the old and new owners have made out of the club whilst this tax bill has been ignored.

| Five games in and Warrington Town are undefeated. 2 wins and 3 draws with brings us to 4th in the table. One of those was a 1-1 draw with Chester. Got Parkgate away in the first qualifying round of the FA cup this weekend.

....before getting a thumping off Leigh next Tuesday (unless either of us are in a Cup replay, of course).

| Whitby arrive in the FA Cup tommorow.
looking forward to it, would have prefered to get a side from a few leagues down from us so we could rack some goals up,
still confident of the win though.

| The last 2 weeks Chorley have played the 3 teams nearest to them at the top of the table and have come away with 2 wins and 1 draw. The best result being today with a 2-1 win at Chester.

Well, it's while since I've been down here...
FC United have had a bit of an indifferent season so far, winning the first three games on the trot before going on a pretty poor run. The last straw for most was a shockingly bad performance at Mickleover in a 2-0 defeat. That seemed to be the kick up the needed and in the next game, we beat Ossett Town at home (Stalybridge, in this case) 4-1. Amongst all that, we beat Radcliffe Borough, Gainsborough Trinity and then Norton and Stockton Ancients in the FA Cup. The latter being a belting day out on Teeside, pitch invasions included. That set up a 4th Qualifying Round tie against Barrow at Gigg Lane next Sunday. Should be fun.
More recently, we beat Newcastle Town 5-0 yesterday at home in the FA Trophy. A couple of decent cup runs could well be the tonic needed after recent league form.
Oh aye - there's the small matter of a certain proposed development on Ten Acres Lane in Newton Heath and the launching of a Community Share scheme which, if successful, could provide a viable blueprint for clubs at all levels to raise money in the future. www.fc-utd.co.uk/communityshares
