| I don't think there can be any argument that Vitali is a different class to Wladimir but I'd still like David Haye to have one more fight at heavyweight before going for either one of their titles. Having said that, I firmly believe Haye would beat Wladimir if they fought tomorrow, his chin and his generally timid boxing style would be exposed, but Vitali would be a significantly tougher opponent.
Was very impressed with the way Haye dismantled a dangerous Monte Barrett, Barrett's entrance was amazing!
Looking forward for Hatton/Malignaggi now, two of my favourite boxers going head to head.

Malignaggi is full of bull$hit. Hatton will box his head off. If he fights aswell as he's trained, Malignaggi won't stand a chance.

Did you see Malignaggi against Cotto 2 years ago? If he performs like that Hatton could be in for a very tough evening. Considering Malignaggi was 3 points down on every scorecard after 2 rounds in that fight he only lost by 3,5 and 5. Having said that, Malignaggi hasn't boxed as well since but he certainly isn't going to rollover for Hatton and I worry that he may be too quick for Ricky.

He got his cheekbone broke and lost unanimously. Cotto wasn't the same boxer then that he is now. Cotto's weight is at 147lbs, not a weight drained 140lbs. Even Ricardo Torres knocked Cotto down at 140.

Agreed but his pace caused Cotto problems. Malignaggi likes to fight people who come onto him offering him a chance to pick them off with his quick hands.

Aye, he was undefeated then.

This isn't about Cotto, and whether he got knocked down at 140 or not is irrelevant as Malignaggi couldn't knock anyone over due to his lack of power. My point is that Malignaggi is technically a better fighter than people give him credit for. Technically he fought 10 decent rounds against Cotto. Bearing in mind his hand had gone, his eye was cut and his cheekbone was broken, he didn't exactly get rolled over. He is quick, elusive and if he can step up again I expect him to give Hatton trouble. I expect Hatton to win but I see this as one of his toughest assignments.

I think the Ricky Hatton under Billy Graham would've struggled with Malignaggi's jab when coming in, although his pressure would've ultimately got him in and enabled him to land body shots. Malignaggi doesn't defend anywhere near as good as Mayweather, so he will land shots. Hopefully the version under Mayweather will be a bit smarter in his approach, but still very aggressive.

Hardy ha ha!
I think we can all acknowledge Cotto's best performances have come since he took on welterweights at 147lbs. His size just fits that division, he's able to use his power to better effect.

Technically he's good and is better than Hatton, no doubt about it. He fought well against Cotto, but Cotto's relentlessness and his combinations destroyed him. He's got alot of heart and determination though, many guys would've got knocked out to Cotto.
I just don't think Malignaggi has the ability and power to really put Hatton under any massive danger, certainly not to win the fight.

| What is Hatton hoping to achieve by carrying on ?
Everybody loved the guy and thought he could achieve anything. Mayweather blew this completely out of the water. Hatton could fight that guy 100 times and lose everytime so I question the need to continue on and fight people where Hatton has nothing to gain and everything to lose.

Maybe he wants to go down as a great fighter rather than a good one?

Just turned 30. I'm not sure he needs the money tbh, it's never been that big of an issue for Hatton.

I think he already will tbh.
He'll go down as someone who dominated everybody but one guy who was in all honesty in a class of his own.
I just dont see what Hatton can gain from fighting a big mouth Yank.
