| I thought it was a good PPV, not at the level of the previous two years though IMO.
A few of the matches were too short for my liking, didn't think the money in the bank was as good as usual this time round, and enjoyed Michaels-Taker more last year when I wasn't expecting them to keep kicking out.

| Worst Mania in recent memory saved by Taker and in particular, HBK.
MITB poor as has been said, I just wonder if it was censored this year.
Slept through most of the two title matches, though I'm going to go back and look at Cena-Batista, as it ended well.
What was Jericho Edge like?

| i enjoyed WM. Thought it was a good ppv with good pay off from good build. I just hope the wwe continue with the idea of building feuds properly going forward.
tbh I wasn't too suprised with the Hart vs Vince match. Vince is hardly a technical wizard and Hart is limited as to what he can do. But given those limitations it wasn't that bad a match but I think it ran a little long.
Edge vs Jerrico had a great match, probably 2nd best of the night.
But tbh, just like last year, Taker and HBK stole the show. I did kinda know Micheals wasn't winning as there's been reports of him retiring after WM for the last couple of weeks but that didn't stop me wanting him to end the streak
MitB wasn't so bad. There had been certain ladder based moves that were banned, mainly the sea-saw move that smashed Mercury's face in.
Kofi's ladder stilts were a great little spot as was bourne's shooting star from the ladder bridge

| I thought it was better than last year's WM.
The Taker-HBK fight stole the show. The two title matches were also good. The rest were all pretty average. The MITB was really disappointing, there were two many men IMO to make it entertaining.

| Quote: MUTLEY CAT "in HBKs farewell speech I got the impression he was pi@@ed off with the fact that flair went back on his word'"
This is what HBK said in an interview recently.
Quote: MUTLEY CAT "He did call me. He called me once to let me know he was going to do the [Hulk] Hogan match in Australia. He wanted to know if it was OK and I of course told him that it was. Then he called me again when he was going to sign with TNA and asked the same thing. There's nothing you can say. I certainly don't have what it takes to look at somebody and say, Don't go make a living.
I told him that, for me, nothing can take away that special moment. It will still always be to me that I had Ric Flair's last match. I tried to do the best job I could for him. I think it was a special moment. Anything after that [pauses]. I feel for him, but I'm certainly not angry or disappointed or anything.
I would like to think that Ric probably would have liked that to have been his last match, too. The fact that it couldn't be, I understand. Those are circumstances that I certainly can't control. One of the things you have to understand is that if you're going to be a friend of Ric's, you sort of know that there's some baggage that comes along with that. Certainly the older I get the more I'm learning about conditional situations, and the difference between that and unconditional, unconditional friendship, unconditional love.
All those types of things we can talk about but it's a whole other thing to put them into action. I do my best to put them into action. I want what's best for Ric, even if Ric might not always be aware of what that is, I still want that for him. Nothing will take away from that moment. It's still truly special. I still wear my watch every day, so it's still something I'm really proud of. [Note'"

As a person, he's been a bit of a git, but as an in ring talent, I don't think there's been anyone to touch him for the last 20 years. He could have a fantastic match with just about anyone.

And he'd be the first in line to admit it. That was pretty much a large part of his farewell speech. It was a genuine heart felt goodbye from a guy who I've loved to watch since I was a kid. Very probably the greatest of all time

I've just watched it on touyube, and it was a great farewell. As you say, he admits his wrongdoings and acknowledges those who helped him. A great farewell.

| 18-0 but at what cost to the wrestling business?
Mr Wrestlemania is one of his nicknames and it couldn't be more appropriate. Razor, Bret, Jericho, Angle, Flair, Cena, Taker all had classics with him at the biggest event.
Thinking back, there honestly hasn't been anyone better.

Thing is though mate I get the impression that it will have been HBK's wish as well as anyone else's for the match to be set out the way it was - he's been quoted in at least one interview as saying that he's wanted to retire for the last 3 years now but Vince has kept persuading him to carry on.
Not seen the speech yet, but in all honesty (and this isn't a go at Michaels), I can't help but find it hard to believe that this will be his last ever match, only because it's so rare in wrestling for a guy's first retirement match to be his actual one.
Like I said though that's nothing against him, and he comes across really well in that interview re Flair (who I've lost a lot of respect for - stop bleeding every f'ing minute for a start! lol).
Oh, and don't think will ever be watching the Hart v McMahon match again, whoever booked it that way (e.g. stacking the odds against a natural heel) wants shooting.
