| Wiggins... Incredible. 52kph average, 42 seconds quicker than anyone. Smashed it, as I believe the youth would have it.
Bronze for Froome too; another outstanding ride.

Incredible performance by both....lets hope it kick starts a medal rush by the rest of team G.B.
P.S Given that they give out knighthoods to less worthy than Wiggo when will it be Sir Bradley Wiggins then?

| Wiggins did well. Coverage better than the road race but still lacking. Where are the graphics?
How come he's so good at that? 42 second seems an enormous gap and from the coverage there only seemed to be about 12 riders doing it.
As a total novice to watching cycling I've been very impressed by it, sensational athletes on show.

| We were there at the Diana fountain in bushy park. Incredible speed when you see it live. Now seen a gold medal British Olympic win live, one ambition achieved

Not sure of the total number but it was around 50 including lots of tour de France riders

| The thing that most impressed me about Wiggins was the way he turned out on Saturday, between winning the Tour de France and yesterday's race, to flog himself in the road race. He had no chance of winning it, wasnt even trying to. Risked injury and fatigue in the GB cause. I just cannot see that happening in any other sport.

It's a huge gap - almost one second per kilometre.
As for why... Well it's been a process. He was already a good time-trialler, but tweaks to his position on the bike (see how flat he is and how little body movement there is compared to the rest), gearing, cadence, tweaks to the bike itself (like the assymetric chainring, the benefits of which I still remain sceptical of) have all helped. The fact he's 15kg lighter than previously and is in quite amazing condition helps too. So really, a combination of things. That and his big rivals - Tony Martin and Fabian Cancellara - were both struggling injuries. Had they been fit, I'd still have backed Wiggins to win, but not by such a large margin.

| I thought Anthony Joshua was lucky to get the nod against his Cuban opponent last night. I was impressed with Savon very slick boxer with superb footwork. Joshua looked to have power but seemed very stiff and sluggish. I think he could do with losing some of that muscle to try and gain some speed.

Me too, I thought he was lucky to be ahead going into the final ground and then I thought that the Cuban won the last by 2/3 points. Not that we're complaining!

Another one then with Anthony Ogogo too. 1 point up going into the last round and I had him to get beat by 2/3 points in that last round.

| What a sensational afternoon for GB, two golds and a silver and at least a silver guranteed in the Judo, plus Ogogo's epic fight with the Ukrainian.

| So to sum up GB's performance so far (clears throat)
One-two (slalom canoe), rowing, cycling, guns.
