Lad I spoken to today told me of a rumour about Aguero still going to Madrid? Possibly in January? Madness, surely?

Tomorrow's League Cup games at Charlton and West Ham have been postponed on police advise and there's talk of England's game being in jeapordy as well. I know PL managers are against the friendly, but come on lads, surely this is taking things a bit far?

Think these rumours have come from a paranoid section of the Atletico fanbase because of what happened with Hugo Sanchez years ago (he left Atletico to join a club in Mexico, the next day they sold him to Madrid).

Perez wanted/wants Aguero badly but Mourinho is apparently not so keen, neither are a lot of the Madrid fans - when the move was first seriously mooted in January there were loads of anti Aguero banners in the stands at the Bernabeu when we played them in the cup a couple of weeks later, comments like "we will never accept Aguero" etc etc.

Might sound mad, but I'm sure I've seen Spurs linked with even more centre backs. Is 'Arry bringing back the old 5-4-1/5-3-2 from his Pompey days? Five at the back for an alleged manager who plays free flowing football and 'lets them do what they want'.

Fair point. TBH I haven't watched the game on TV or any highlights. I made it based on the view from my seat - in the City end, first tier and about 30 yards from the bench.

Could Kompany have not been surprised by the way the ball bounced off Nani?

He was just left completely out to dry by Clichy. it looked as if Clichy was going to head it back to the keeper or back to Kompany, and then he just ran off at an angle away from the ball.

Nani's goal was ace.

Anyone seen this Radosav Petrovic who Blackburn have signed?

I read an article in a magazine a few years back mentioning him as a big prospect from a minor league. I've seen bits and bobs (highlights in Europe) of him playing for Partizan, and I've seen him play in a Serbia game. Looked a good prospect, tall with underrated ability. Think he'll take a while to settle, but Blackburn could well have themselves a solid prospect for the future. I remember tweeting to one of the Eastern Europe footy journos a year or so about him (might have been Jonathan Wilson) and he said he was due a move, possibly to Serie A at the time.

Everton are going to surprise me and add two new signings before the season starts. I just know it.
