| Oldham see themselves bottom of the league, I honestly thought we would do alright this season.
We seem to have lost all composure, our midfield was awful they may as well not have been there. Thompson our summer defensive signing is an absolute turkey.
We’re missing Richie Wellens massively, we had filled the void left by Wellens with the loan signing of Neil Kilkenny only to see him get injured for two months and until he is back I can’t really see us doing anything.
We do have a game in hand to take us off the bottom but unless you are winning games then a game in hand is pointless.
Saturdays game:
Oldham were awful, Southend were awful (but slightly better than Oldham), the referee was awful some very dodgy decisions including the Southend players red card.
Wallsall away on Saturday, looks like muggins’ here is off down.

We had Chris Dickson at the Alex for a month recently but didn't extend the deal because Barnard arrived from Spurs and a couple of others came back from injury.
He was popular here and a decent player, a bit raw but there is definitely some talent there. I would like to have kept him a bit longer but Gradi obviously thought differently.
Anyways after our 2-0 defeat away at Doncaster last week we are looking for a better performance against Millwall at home tomorrow.

| Great spirit from the boys Saturday to come back from 2-0 down and win 3-2.
Oldham had the better of Crewe all game but it looked like it was going to be ‘one of them games’.
Crewe’s first goal coming from a Crewe players back as Crossley booted the ball against him, a smart finish for Crewes second with what was probably their first real shot on target putting us two down.
Great comeback though reminding me of why I turn up every week.
Leeds tomorrow night, if we get past them we can really kick on this year.

Ah, you have witnessed the enigma that is Crewe Alex.
After a moderately good start to the season we seem to have fallen to pieces of late, only one win in the last four league games.
I opted to watch my son make his under 10, man of the match winning debut for Sandbach United last Saturday - looks like I made the right choice.

Crewe were poor, the midfield offered very little. As I said before, they were very lucky with their first goal. The second goal was a good one but after that they presented very little resistance and Oldham went at them.
The left winger/left back linked up well and put some good balls into the box but there was no one willing to get on the end of them.
Blondey who scored your first goal didn’t help the team much, he must have given away three quarters of the free kicks you conceded.
