Excellent news for the Arabs that is. He will be OOC at the end of the season too and will likely stay on for another two seasons after next.

Brilliant news it is but I find it bizarre Cardiff are sending him out on loan again when possibly they could have got cash for him. Maybe there has been a loan fee arrangement. He really enjoyed his football last season. I would love to see him sign a pre-contract in January. Craig said from the day he signed him that the SPL suits him and he was proved right. We're just one striker short from being a very good side. We'll wait and see if we got Roy O'Donovan from Sunderland on loan I believe Leeds want him as well.

Was he actually decent for you then?
He had one good game for City at Old Trafford but was pretty poor apart from that.
Well out of his depth.

Would probably go down as the best pieces of business we have done for a long time.
He started off pretty poor but I think that was because Levein was playing him out on the wing. When he brought him into the middle that's when he started playing his best football. Our better results of the season was when he was in the middle and Barry Robson was played out wide. The bits i've seen of Robbo at Celtic he's played his best football in the middle particularly aginst Rangers in the 2-1 game at Parkhead. He was also named man of the match in the cup final.
Maybe he was perhaps too young to make an impact in the premiership though proving to perform at Old Trafford is very encouraging.

We predicted big things for him that day but it never quite happened.
He was a bit too lightweight for me and was not renowned for his sterling efforts in the reserves.
Maybe with a bit more bulk and a bit better attitude he is now realising his potential.

His attitude's been spot on since he's came here, doesn't let the praise get to him and continues playing his football. Definitley not got a bit more bulk looks like a seven year old.
He fights like a lion on the park and that's good enough for me.
His family has settled in Dundee too so that helps.

Aye - he did very well for us last season after a VERY shaky start. He got sent off on our first game of last season v the Mutton Molesters and then, when he had served his ban, he got sent off again in his very next game for the reserves thus leading to a longer ban!
He took a bit of time to bed in but he became one of our best players last season (alongside Hunt, Gomis and Robson) and even score the goal voted in one of the polls as goal of the season (a snorter versus St Midden at Courtney Love Street)
Out of his depth in The Prem I can understand because if he was anywhere near good enough for that level he would not be with United but he is top class for us little teams.
He wants to stay with us (bizarrely his family like the area) and we are happy to keep him so a good deal for all.

| Oh - and on another note - congratulations to Annan Athletic for getting elected to the league. It is made even better for two reasons....
1. They are near neighbours of Gretna, whos' "faithful" fans will be even MORE sick to see a rival doing so well on the back of QOS getting into the UEFA Cup.
2. They beat an Aberdeen team in Cove Rangers in the final ballot. Always a treat to see an Aberdeen side lose.
The only downside is that I now have to visit Annan so that I can say I have been to all senior grounds in Scotland. I have been to Cove several times in the past but never to Annan.

Isn't somewhere over Stranraer way? Girl I used to work with was a Stranraer fan and we looked at the logistics of getting to one of their games without driving. Basically we'd have had to set off Friday to get there for 3pm Saturday, it's that godforsaken.

It is apparently 8.5 miles from Gretna so you are in the right area (i.e. South West Scotland) but a fair trek from Stranraer methinks.
That said, Stranraer is a fair trek from anywhere!

Sorry to disappoint you chief
The sending off in the reserve game didn't lead to a longer game as it was only a second booking but if it was a straight red he would have been banned.
IIRC Flood's second sending off was the day after Christian's sending off at Rugby Park. Floody's sending off was even more bizarre getting sent-off for taking a quick free-kick.
Unbelieveable scenes!!
