If we don't have money now, we never will, we're 3 in a row PL Champions, CL winner and runner up in the past 2 years, decent cup runs over the past three years. It's gunna be near on impossible to repeat that over the next few years.
The most shocking thing is how United have gone from "an excellent prospect" "can't wait for him to arrive in January" to "he isn't good enough". Which is complete b*llocks, I can't believe how unprofessional we have been, no "good luck in the future" message or anything, just a club spokesperson saying a few words.
There were rumours before it was called off, that due to work permit issues, he wouldn't be joining until the summer, but he was definitely joining up with the squad.
It all stinks and we have been an embarrassment quite frankly.'"
I agree it's a bit of a strange one but £10m is a hell of a lot of money for an unproven player just look at the money we've splashed out in the past for the likes of Nani and Anderson who haven't kicked on like we thought they would do when they arrived. Ljajic has looked good from what i've seen of him playing for the Serbian u18s but from what i've seen the likes of Eikrem, Ajose, Brady, Petrucci, Morrison and Cleverly all look good enough to make it into the first team with in the next few years so maybe Fergies right when he says that after seeing him train with the squad he's not stood out  |

Rumour has it Tosic and a £10m rated Nani ( ) will leave OT in January.
Fergie must be expecting a lot from Obertan, whilst hoping Welbeck and Macheda will "do a Rooney" and happily play out wide and times.
David Silva is a must-buy IMO, or at least a must-bid and try sign him. We need someone with a bit of class to create more for the strikers. Dzeko would be a good signing. |

He'll get Chamakh in January for dirt cheap or on a free in't summer, methinks. Dzeko's well out of his price range whilst Gignac I don't know too much about with regards to availability. |

I agree, we do have some very good youngsters who play in a similar role to Llajic and there is no point wasting money we don't have. From what I've seen of him, he has looked quality, definitely a player I would love to see playing for United.
I don't have a problem with Fergie saying he aint stood out / is no better than we already have. My problem lies with the farcical manner the club has conducted itself over the whole affair.
If Llajic hadn't signed a contract with United, we shouldn't have paraded him around and made him feel as though he was a United player. And when deciding he wasn't what the club wanted, they should have had the common courtesy / professionalism to let the player and Partizan know before leaks to the press, and a statement wishing Llajic all the best in the future wouldn't have been too much to ask either. |
