| Quote Leaf="Leaf"Farsley snatched a draw with RMI and were dyer by all accounts.'"
A draw was probably a fair result to be fair, Farsley hit the post about 15 seconds before we took the lead with 10 minutes late. Doesn't alter the crushing disappointment of conceding the equaliser after nearly five minutes of stoppage time, mind you!

| Farsley lost at Kettering last night, 3-2.
I think it'll be a big ask for the Celts to make the play-offs now. Still, not bad for a first season.

The restructuring of step 4 has been announced, I can't find it on the FA site, so I've got the link to the story on the FC United website.
www.fc-utd.co.uk/story.php?story_id=917
It means 3 teams will definitely be going up from the North West Counties League, possibly 4. 6 points are therefore needed by FC to confirm promotion, so a win tonight at Nelson and a win at Ramsbottom on Saturday and we're up. Chicken counting time.
With a place in the NWCFL Challenge Cup Final too, it's looking like a decent end to the season. And some decent away trips to look forward to next year, depending on how they split the league.
More info available on Tony Kempster's brilliant football site:

I discovered that site a few years ago. It's everything you need.
They restructure non-league football every other year now, and St. Helens Town always pick the year when loads go up to lose all the players and end up near the bottom of the table, then finish fourth when it doesn't matter.

| Runcorn beat Leek CSOB 2-0 last night to remain top of the table. Winsford also won beating Ashton Town 1-0, so this means we are top by just 1 point but Winsford who are in 2nd place have 3 games in hand. Padiham in 3rd are 7points behind us but also have 2 games in hand so it's going to be an interesting end to the season!
We are at home on Saturday against Bootle who are currently 7th in the table. After that it's the big one, away to Winsford on Easter Monday kick-off 7:45pm.

| Well after all the hype Winsford v Runcorn finished 0-0 on Easter Monday! Good crowd of 446 with about 200 from Runcorn. This means we are still only 1 point ahead of them and they still have 3 games in hand. However, Padiham lost so that means they are 8 points behind us with 2 games in hand.
It's saddening to hear about Scarborough, I remember we played them in the FA Trophy in the last season at Canal Street. How times have changed. Hope there's some light at the end of the tunnel for their supporters

| FC Utd were promoted to the Unibond on Saturday after winning 2-1 at Ramsbottom. This was followed up by a 3-0 win over Maine Rd in the 'mini derby' in front of 3605.
It won't last til Christmas........

Suddenly it looks a bit tight at the top again in Division 1 South!
I've been watching Dulwich Hamlet home and away for nearly thirty years. This has been our best season for ages, playing cavalier attacking football, but we've dropped too many points to the sides near the bottom. It's been great to watch though. I also started watching rugby league in 2001 for something to do in the football close season.
I haven't missed a Hamlet game since September, which means I've had to miss a couple of Harlequins games that clashed. It's a pain Quins playing home games on a Saturday. At least today's game against Wakefield is a 6pm kick off, meaning I should just about get there in time after watching Hamlet v Walton Casuals!

I had a similar problem when Leigh were in Super League, but such are the benefits of the groundshare are that games have been played at HP on the same day on the past, or at least re-scheduled so that an RMI game doesn't clash with the rugby and therefore lose a fair percentage of our crowd
