| Quote Andy Gilder="Andy Gilder"Change of captain, change of attitude around the place by the sound of it.
The young batters at the top of the order who the club have invested time and patience in such as Sayers, Lyth, Gale and Bairstow have all hit good form at the start of the season too, backing up the bowling attack.
Yes, it's only Essex and they are racing certainties to finish bottom, but to win by an innings with your two best quicks out of the side is quite an achievement IMO.'"
and dont forget we were on top against durham before the weather took its toll, over 1100 runs in the last 2 innings

| This is all getting a bit tedious. Will someone out there give us a game?

When the T20 starts I'd be tempted to leave him out, get Brophy in and give him time to work with someone like Jack Russell on his keeping.
Still concedes too many byes IMO, although thankfully his catches are sticking.
Good to see another Academy product coming in yesterday in Ben Sanderson and doing well.

One of the good things about this season so far has been the way players have come into the side and made positive contributions, it's not just a first XI that are doing the business.
Still, I'll keep my healthy scepticism that I save for all the teams I follow and insist that it's bound to go tits-up sooner or later!

| 17 wickets at Edgbaston so far today. Last 2 Lancs wickets from the first innings, Warwickshire bowled out for 113, and Lancs now 21-5. Wonder why Lancs didn't enforce the follow on?

God only knows, big chance to get a innings win, or have a very small run chase.
Hope this shocking second innings won't throw away what should be a win. Still, if the tail can wag and get us up to 200, sets a target of 450-ish, which should be far too much, and 2 days to get 10 wickets.
Otherwise, seems the Yorkies are finally getting a game, seems we won't be the ones to bring them crashing down to earth in a giant fireball

| I think the reason for Lancs not enforcing the follow-on is to give Jimmy Anderson a chance to bowl

| Lancs need to get Trott out early in the morning or they could throw away what should have been an easy win after what happened in the 1st innings.

| Yorkshire are in danger of losing this game!
Not sure when the close of play is tonight but Somerset have a chance of winning it, could be a a blunder to declare so early.. espeically now it seems Notts will either beat Hampshire or their game will be a draw, after Hampshire looked comfortably earlier on in the day.
