Roddick wins the first set. Fully deserved as well, Murray's struggled on service.

Britain are not meant to have players in Wimbledon finals.

Tie Break in the 4th set, looks like it could be the end for Murrey.

...and it was. Lack of aggression on the 3rd set cost him this match IMO.

Must say I'm a little surprised. Always liked Roddick but really wated Murray to win and expected him to to be honest.

That said, Murray was out played today. Roddick as ever was superb on serve and I was really impressed with him at the net volleying.

Basically came dowm to two tie breaks and when Roddick can concentrate his massive serve on just 1/2 serves at a time he won't lose many.

All in all, a decent tournament for Murray. Given the opponents he came up against the minimum he should have been looking for would be a semi final appearance and I'm pretty sure he'll be hugely frustrated tonight.

Disagree there. He varied it alot more than Murray today. Was superb at the net.

1st top notch player he faced and he's out,oh well at least he can now go back to winning tournaments that nobody cares about now.

Yup, and in comparison Murray's first serve % was dreadful all match. I said last week he'd peaked too early in that department when he getting it to around 70% is the second and third round.

Not sure he would have averaged above 55% today, and you're not going to get to a major final serving that poorly.

Although I agree this was his first big test of the tournament, I wouldn't say he is only "winning tournaments that nobody cares about".

Let's not forget, he's 22 and has reached a final, semi final and quarter final in three of the grand slams. Added to that his performance on the tour, I'm confident that when he peaks, he'll be winning slams.
