My understanding was that the only weather condition that can cause a game to not be played is lightning? Roofs falling in etc are extenuating circumstances but this is an outdoor game. |

They are going to make it hard for themsleves by moving it IMO, when it snows in the playoff games they will be knackered!!
What if it snows on Tuesday? 
Next they will be saying us an Chicago should replay because it was played in a blizzard |

Exactly. Or like some others have said. Why not play the game earlier if the storm isn't due until later? Yes it's inconvenient but at least it would get played. Makes a whole mockery of the NFL's previous claims that games are played in any conditions anywhere.

I get that there are concerns for safety etc but it's setting a dangerous precedent moving games for snow. There will be a fair few snow games over the next few weeks. When does the amount of snow become dangerous?

No idea, to be honest I think they just make it up as they go along. The Bears/Pats game was shocking I could barely see what was happening so I can`t imagine how hard/unsafe it was for the players.

They reckon 20 inches of snow. Not sure if that's true though as thats a truly huge amount. I remember watching the NFLs coldest games and I'm sure one took place in conditions of -59. Surely tonight can't be as bad as that? |

| This post on NFL.com best relays my opinion on the postponed match. Apart from the bit on in door arenas. Thats the decision of the franchise but I do prefer watching outdoor games (on TV anyway!).
