| Apparently both Jerry Lawler and Michael Cole are pushing to have Jim Ross return to the play by play seat to replace Matt Striker as the 3rd man on PPV commentary.
The problem is Vince wants to go with youth, which is odd cos Lawler is actually 3 years older than JR.
It's a shame cos JR is one of the best story-tellers the WWE have and to not use him is criminal.

Wonder why Flair's not bleeding on the ad.
Reckon Tara v Mickie James will be a great match.

| Punk on commentary has been a revelation. The best man on the mic in WWE.

He actually asked for and received his release. He wants to work internationally including New Japan Pro Wrestling.

Hmm, wonder if he'll be back once he realises the grass isn't always greener. Don't get me wrong I like MVP, comes across as a humble guy who moved on from earlier mistakes in life to do really well. Thing is though despite the criticism WWE gets from some former employees, it must still be the best paying company in the world to regularly work for (the amount of people who return there time and time again would suggest so). Also with MP's style, flash entrance etc would that work in the less glamarous presentation (in general) of Japanese wrestling? I.e. I think over there wrestling is pushed more as an athletic sport with a lot less emphasis on the entertainment and theatrical side of things. Good luck to him though.
Hey have to say Lister, after watching a recent Jeff Hardy 'shoot' on the net my respect for him has nosedived - he's stood there in a cafe/restaurant, appearing under the influence of something, talking a load of crap e.g. saying he made CM Punk. Rubbish IMO, they had a fantastic fued in WWE but for me it was 50/50 - they contributed equally and made each other really. In my opinion Hardy will always now go down as one of those guys who did superb in the business, but could have been so, so much more. If he'd stayed with WWE he'd be the most popular wrestler in the world right now.

| Hardy was a spot monkey. Very charismatic in the ring, but his mic work was always poor. Unlike Matt who could work AND could speak.
Surprised that MVP has been released. However I can understand him wanting to expand his skill set and try Japan where wrestling is pushed more as a sport than entertainment.

Agree Roofaldo, Matt Hardy (during his motivated days before he went nuts ) was a great asset to the company - he was an all-rounder who could have a good match with nearly anybody, and whever I saw him live in England he always got one of the reactions of the night whether a heel or face (his Mattitude Era was fantastic IMO).
Re Jeff I don't think his mike work ever affected his progress because (like others inc RVD) his charisma through his matches, body language, facial expressions etc more then compensated for his poor mic work, he had that aura about him which drew in fans of all ages to WWE events.
Just find it sad that he's now working for what is still a small company (and always will be until Hogan, Bischoff, Russo, Flair etc are gone and the company can become an exciting, fresh organisation again). Maybe both Hardy's got sick of the travelling, schedule etc, but on paper they should both be playing key roles in WWE right now, and in Jeff's case he easily had all the tools to be the 'poster boy' of say SmackDown whilst Cena did the same job for Raw. Jeff's biggest advantage (should he ever clean up and return to WWE) is that, unlike Cena, he is able to be over with fans of all ages - you never heard him get booed as a babyface. He could have been headlining main event PPV's with Punk, Orton, HHH etc for years if he'd stayed. Shame.
Like said hope MVP feels re-energised by a move elsewhere (as people have said on the UKFF, he has sometimes appeared to be phoning it in the last year or so). Wouldn't be surprised by either a return to WWE or a move to TNA though.

| HHH I think is still not fit to return to the full-time schedule, though he did return for a non-televised match against Alberto Del Rio a few weeks ago.
Taker was buried alive by Kane wasn't he? Joking apart recovering from years of built-up injuries I would guess, preparing for surely one last run with the company. Legend.

HHH didn't just have a match against Del Rio, he came out and buried him. Why? Cos Del Rio is a very effective heel and HHH prefers to be the bad guy so Del Rio might just be in a position to steal HHH spot and we can't be having that.

Sorry have to disagree - Matt was solid in the ring but on the mic he was beyond useless in my opinion. I remember him cutting a very long, labourious promo on the back of a much hyped return which completely took any momentum he had away. Reminded me of Ultimate Warrior in WCW and his half hour rant at Hulk Hogan.
Ring work on its own isn't enough - it has to be backed up by something. Jeff had charisma, Matt didn't. If you were to watch a Morrison/Miz tag match from a couple of years back you would never have believed that the Miz would be the one who would get to be WWE Champ first. But that's because Miz can talk and Morrison can't.

| The Miz is a great role model for anyone who wants to get into wrestling IMO, he went from a reality show star to having to make it into wrestling the hard way. He's come on leaps and bounds in the last couple years.
Apparantly HHH was producing the shows in the UK that were taped a couple weeks back, reportedly he was a lot more calm with the announcers than Vince normally is, barely said a word to them.
