Good luck to the lad, leaves a massive hole in defence now tho. Hopefully we will put a last day bid in for Wheater at Middlesbrough as we only have Gardner, Mouyokolo, Zayatte and Cooper as Centre backs. |

Wigan will go down.
After Dave Whelan claimed Martinez was the best manager he had and will become the best manager in the world, the results have gone downhill.
Wigan, Bolton and Portsmouth would be an interesting 3 teams to go down.
Got the feeling Pompey may splash the cash tomorrow, but they have sold Distin and Kranjcar and brought in Michael Brown (decent) and an unproven Tommy Smith (though I like him, it's a risk).
Hardly convincing...

Mate, this is Phil Brown/Duffen were talking about, I don't think there wise enough to make that proposition.
The whole Turner saga is probably the worse bit of buisness I've seen.
If Brown was really desperate enough to keep hold of him, why not test Sunderland's patience by negiotating every small detail like making sure Hull get 25% of the next sale, a said amount of money after appearances, a hefty amount for an international appearance.
OR, at least bargain the transfer to Sunderland by saying you can have him in January for 1-1.5mill less.
At least in that time period, Hull would more likely know where there at for the following season.
