I'd rewrite that slightly to starting with Cipriani at 10 and Tait or Abendanon at 15, as Wilkinson is finished at international level.

You need to have some sort of running threat at 10 to interest the opposition back row, otherwise they can just drift across from setpieces and get at your centres. Wilkinson just doesn't offer that, Cipriani (or even Flood) does.

I watched the highlights between Gloucester and Saracens on Sunday afternoon and wished I hadn't bothered.
