| Quote Lord God Jose Mourinho="Lord God Jose Mourinho"Swap deal with a total value of 10m, according to most sources. Never noticed him before the Spurs game and today was just an extension to that. Even the best strikers miss sitters but he just looks like one of those scammers who somehow manage to con managers into playing them. Is he really that bad or have I just seen a couple of really bad games for him?'"
No, he's pretty poor.
Prefer Klasnic over him every time.

| If united win this year it will be one of the hardest fought ever. The team has had to fight for nearly every win. The top teams are getting weaker and the also ran teams are getting stronger and the money isn't there to simply spend your opposition out of a chance of victory any more. Not for teams like united,Liverpool and nal. Man City are going to have the money but they're still playing catchup on teams with a few decades head start and Chelsea don't seem quite as dominant as they could be even though the money is still there.
Interesting times. Financially unsound, but interesting.

| Quote Robbie Rotten="Robbie Rotten"Was a solid player in France where he was the main man of a pretty average side. I remember when we played Toulouse in a CL qualifier, all the pre-match talk was about Elmander but he looked pretty poor, I'd seen him play a few times and he looked kinda like a Santa Cruz type of player when I seen him, he was strong, held the ball up well and was good at bringing others into play, but in his time here he's done none of that. I remember seeing him for Sweden at the Euro's and they used him as a right winger, he never really stood out, he tried and was a willing runner, but he never stood out in a pretty average side. Was extremely surprised when Bolton signed him, he wasn't exactly young and he wasn't exactly proven, for that kind of money, you'd be looking for a prospect who'd come in, offer you a few years of top service then be sold on at a hefty profit. It was a very strange signing IMO.'"
He reminds me a lot of Kuyt. Bought for a lot of money to score goals, doesn't get the volume of goals that a frontman should but has a lot of qualities that managers like so he always finds himself in the starting XI because of his workrate, versatility, team ethic etc. He's just not a natural goalscorer is he ?
I actually think one of the best strikers in the Premiership this year who's gone under the radar, and I'd expect a really big season from next year is Kalinic at Blackburn. In a better side he'd be exceptional. Scores lots of different goals, always seems to hit the target, I like him alot.

| Went to the Fulham Spurs game Yesterday, free ticket from a Fanatical Ulham fan. 1st live game in 2 years and was bored senseless. I couldn't believe I was watching a Fa cup Quarter final.

No. In fact I sometime wonder if he knows where the goal is?

I agree and would say the same of Klasnic who Elmander is surprising keeping out of the Bolton starting-11.

I like Klasnic also, the only reason I didn't mention him about having a 'big year' next year is that according to Megson (I know), there's no way he'll be staying. He was on Goals On Sunday, and when asked about Klasnic he smirked, told Kammy that "I know what money he's asking for ..." and then said there's no way on gods earth that Bolton will be able to afford to keep him.
This was just after he'd been sacked like.

Every chance he (Megson) is right. It's also possible it's a pop at a former employer. The players wage demands, if indeed they are an issue, may change if no other Club wants to meet his demands.
I guess we'll find out at some point but I would personally like the Club to keep him. They could consider the sale of Elmander if that would help.

He is, in ways, but I feel Kuyt has a lot more confidence, whereas Elmander I feel is quicker and probably has a bit more ability.
Problem is, though, a player like Elmander is alright for a side like Bolton, a manager's favourite who gets by through attitude, ethic etc., but for a side like us, I do wonder about Kuyt. I don't mind him in a 4-4-2 against smaller sides, but playing as a regular right winger, I am completely against.
