I've never said that I think Royle is a better manager. Royle's management career has obviously been massively damaged by the fact the his career has nosedived spectacularly.
I'm just pointing out that getting all dizzy and saying Moyes is better than the Champions League and title winning Ferguson, Benitez and Ancelotti and title winning Wenger is stupid.
Moyes could end up with a similar career to Royle. He might not go down as far and as fast as Royle, but he hasn't achieved the highs that he did either.

Totally agree. You're spot on, i don't know who said Moyes was better than Ferguson and Ancelotti but you simply can't.

I rarely look out for results of reserve games. However, I am pretty sure you won the reserves league a couple of years ago with Gary Ablett as boss (I guess he is still managing the reserves).
We do well in the reserve league so I can understand where Oggy is coming from.
We won't talk about the Academy though as we have no peers in the north |

I'm surprised city and everton fans are arguing on this thread considering their similarities:
Both in the shadows of big city neighbours,
Both try to claim they have the most local fans to deflect attention away from lack of success on the pitch.
Both struggle to fill the ground for midweek games despite all their support living within walking distance of their stadium.
Etc, etc..............

I watched the Liverpool/City reserves game on LFC TV a few months ago. I'm sure he was manager at the time. I guess he has left / been pushed since.
And yes we do have two reserve teams. We have so many players who are not Prem quality we have to create two teams for them |

Gary Tablet left just a couple of weeks ago. Ever since Rafa has signed his new contract, quite a few changes have gone on at the academy/Melwood.

I doubt it, I doubt Moyes would sell for only £10 mil plus Jo. I think he would be after more cash anyway. I imagine he is after just taking Jo and hoping Lescott's name isn't mentioned. Done a job on loan last season Jo 5 goals in 11, not bad. |
