But it's not just half a match he's played though is it? Is it not also counting the fact that Gerrard + Wilshere are out.
I agree btw, I don't know if he is ready yet, but it's not just going to be on the basis of 45 minutes for Utd, more likely the entire season for Wigan.

| I'm just glad he's put that shambles at the U21 Championship behind him. Pearce had a very talented central midfielder and played him on the right - the idiot. That man has the tactical nouse of a cockroach.
In the middle Cleverley is a handy little player. I like the way he runs at players and is willing to get ahead of the forwards. Still not the finished article, but hopefully he'll get some chances this year.
I think there are better options for him for this friendly. If anyone thinks that a good 45 minutes wasn't the telling reason why he is included in the squad is deluded. He was nowhere near a call up last year after doing well at Wigan, and he did not play well at all after being played out of position in the summer. Capello doesn't give a sh*t anymore.

Clichy hung Kompany out to dry - his indecisiveness left Kompany in the proverbial

| Arsenal paying £12M for Alex-Oxlade Chamberlain. Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think this guy as ever played a game in the Championship.
Christ, we (Liverpool) would get absolutley slated for paying this amount in the media.

Thank you, Malc: |

| We were poor yesterday. I thought we were luckyto get away with onlya one goal defeat. Our midfield did not perform at all. TBH they looked a bit leggy.
Hopefully, this game will act as a wake-up call.

More a Clichy mistake than Kompany imo. That was Clichys ball to win.

| It's a difficult one. Clichy was nearer but Kompany was facing the ball. It is not easy for us to make a judgement as we don't know if Kompany called for it.
Regardless, had we won it would have been unjust.
Seems that there is a strong rumour on a City forum that Nasri will sign in the next day or two. Hopefully that is the case as we need a ball carrier and someone who can link the play.

Agreed, large price indeed. Only seen him play once, against Utd in the FA Cup, he didn't look anything special, in fact he seemed like another young poser with coloured boots who believes his own hype. Does wenger not realise that he needs Centre-Backs and a goalkeeper though?

| £12 million for a teenager who hasn't played championship football. Strange policy at Arsenal. I don't think they have enough small, tricky players in the squad.

| Arsenal should be going all out to bring one - or both - of the Dortmund centre backs in. Hot property and would work well with Vermaelen if he's fit.

Agreed Rob. I really like Subotic. They definitley need a new CB especially with Vermaelen now injuired. I see Madrid have already bought one of Dortmund's 2011 Bundesliga winning players in Nuri Sahin.

50086_1357229109.jpg [b:33tg3xj5]Me:[/b:33tg3xj5] I'm still reeling from the news that someone is considering watching the 1st and 3rd game on Saturday and NOT watching Warrington play. It's like being in Shea Stadium when the Beatles came to town and deciding to nip out for a fag.
[b:33tg3xj5]knockersbumpMKII:[/b:33tg3xj5] Is it FOOK, you're good but you're not THAT good, jesus you wanky fans need to get over yourselves, Beatles at the Shea in '65 was a once in a lifetime opportunity for some (despite the following years performance), you can watch a very good team in primrose & yellow play every week if you really wanted to but comparing it to one of the very best music groups of all time in an iconic stadia such as the shea is overegging your importance, you're not even the best team in SL atm:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_50086.jpg |

No way would Dalglish have paid £12m for Chamberlain. He'd have offered £18m plus Shelvey.

Kompany looked a little caught by surprise to me, so suspect he didn't
