| Looks likely that Manusky from San Fran may be coming in to replace Ron. Thought they'd have given the gig to Pagano (the LBs coach) myself.
Chargers also linked with Aso. I would w**k for a week if that happened, even though we have more pressing areas of need.

He'll end up at the Cowgirls IMO. They are supposed to be going after Rob Ryan as D Coordinator and he is a big fan of Aso. I can't see any other "contenders" paying him as much as Dallas and he wont want to play for a poor team like Oakland again.
Aso would be more than welcome at the Packers though, like the last excellent Oakland corner Charles Woodson, if he'd play nickel.

I read a story saying how winning is more important that money in this move for Aso. If that's the case, the team is te key thing. There's no way he ends up in SD in reality. We've been close to winning for years but hae proved that the team doesn't have the back bone to get to the big one. The Cowboys will be all over him but he has worked under Al for years, would he want to go and live in Jerryland now?

Probably not but they are are a decent team with a chance to contend for the NFC if they pull things together. They are a genuinely talented team on offence but much like you guys they shoot themselves in the foot at key moments.
I don't see any other team being able to offer him the money needed to sign him. At his current price realistically i can only see Dallas and Washington being willing to pay it. If he is willing to take a pay cut then that brings in teams like Pittsburgh, New England and Indianapolis.

| Asomugha, McCourty and Bodden? yes please would make a pretty good secondary the problem is there's no way in hell he will accept a 5-8m a year deal unless he REALLY wants to win, if they can find a way to bring him in I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up a Jet.

I think Eric Moore and Jermaine Cunningham have shown enough this year to say they're pass rushers, they might not get the flashy stats but Cunningham got hold of Manning's arm on Sanders pick and Moore is at the QB pretty much every play, add another top CB to the secondary and the sacks will come because Cunningham & Moore get close now, but with 2 "shutdown" corners, they will get that extra second to get there.
In the draft I'd be happy with a tackle, C/G and a backup NT really.

I can't remember the exact number but I'm sure we have about 14 or more players out of contract so theres a few we need to resign before we start drafting/picking up free agents, I know BB knows what he's doing but I always get nervous when the season ends

| Asomugha had a poor season, and other players stepped up while he was out. We could draft a corner with our 2nd round pick and be better off IMO

Maybe he had a poor season on purpose so he could activate the clause in his contract

| Bart Scott takes things about 20 steps too far and threatens to end Wes Welkers career, nice chap
Now the NFL have got involved and warned teams that any trash talking will be used against them if there is any on field trouble. It's getting pathetic now with the NFL stepping in all the time but when complete s like Scott threaten to injure players I guess they have no choice!

The closest Bart Scott will get to Wes Welker is that Wes Welker shaped dust cloud that he will see 10 yards behind the real Welker.
