Viva las Widnes Council
I loved going to Canal Street aswell with my buddy 'ere. I went to watch Linnets v Cheadle in August, which was a belting game, but that's the only one i've gotten to so far. It's a shame because there's so much heart in Non-League, even if it does lack in quality somewhat. I hope one day Runcorn will again be Runcorn with our own ground once again. |

Follow Southport being a local team to me. Everton fan and follow home and away so dont really get the port games unless there is no clash.
Cant beat a bit of non-league. Take a big interest in non-league though, mate of mine plays for Warrington Town.

Always had a softspot for Harrogate Town and York City, them two behind Leeds. Don't know why but I always try and get down to Town or Bootham Crescent when Leeds aren't playing.. City lost last night to Stevenage and Town beat Hinkley 2-0. They were letting people in for free as it was the re-arranged game where Matt Gadsby died on the pitch and people were making donations into a box etc for his wife and young child.. nice touch.

A draw was probably a fair result to be fair, Farsley hit the post about 15 seconds before we took the lead with 10 minutes late. Doesn't alter the crushing disappointment of conceding the equaliser after nearly five minutes of stoppage time, mind you! |

The restructuring of step 4 has been announced, I can't find it on the FA site, so I've got the link to the story on the FC United website.

It means 3 teams will definitely be going up from the North West Counties League, possibly 4. 6 points are therefore needed by FC to confirm promotion, so a win tonight at Nelson and a win at Ramsbottom on Saturday and we're up. Chicken counting time. 
With a place in the NWCFL Challenge Cup Final too, it's looking like a decent end to the season. And some decent away trips to look forward to next year, depending on how they split the league.

I discovered that site a few years ago. It's everything you need.
They restructure non-league football every other year now, and St. Helens Town always pick the year when loads go up to lose all the players and end up near the bottom of the table, then finish fourth when it doesn't matter.

| Runcorn beat Leek CSOB 2-0 last night to remain top of the table. Winsford also won beating Ashton Town 1-0, so this means we are top by just 1 point but Winsford who are in 2nd place have 3 games in hand. Padiham in 3rd are 7points behind us but also have 2 games in hand so it's going to be an interesting end to the season!
We are at home on Saturday against Bootle who are currently 7th in the table. After that it's the big one, away to Winsford on Easter Monday kick-off 7:45pm. |
