| If the team was picked on form then terry should be nowhere near it. He only looks good when he has the far superior Carvalho as his partner
As for Lampard, well, hes never had a good game for England anyway. Hes not about to start now hes entering the twilight of his career

Chelsea's best central defensive partnership is Terry and Alex. Carvalho's close to being surplus to requirements. Carvalho has been brilliant for Chelsea, but he's never been as solid or reliable as Terry and he even isn't now that Terry is off form.
Even at Carvalho's best he's always been far, far more likely to screw up or get himself sent off than Terry.

Yeah, God knows how he managed to get the England fans PoY in 2004 and 2005. God knows how he was in the team of the tournie in Euro 2004. Never had a good game at all for England.
The truth is that he played pretty well for England between 2004 and 2006, but was utterly ******* **** in the 2006 World Cup. And even then his dire WC performances were pretty much totally because he couldn't hit a barn door from 2 yards. If he'd carried any type of CFC form into the WC then he'd have buried half of those chances, he'd have been a front-runner for WC's best player and England's chances would have been significantly improved.

| God Ingerland are dire.
Walcott wasn't worth the cost of printing his name on the back of his shirt, how Milner didn't start I'll never know.
Rooney should've (if at all) started up front on his own, then at least Gerrard could've been given a role in the middle where he knows what he was meant to be doing.
Hart
Johnson Terry Rio Cole
Lennon Gerrard Lampard Barry Milner
Rooney
That's Ingerland's best team if they've got any chance of making the semi-finals.
At least Serbia won 3-0.

Probably not. But a Terry who's playing better away from home than he is on the pitch is still better than any of the others. Without Rio and Terry together, Ingerland are $hite at the back. They also need a RB ASAP.

Apart from the WC in Germany, Lampard has been the best player for Ingerland for years.

| Lampard & Gerrard will always be a no go in the middle together. If he was fit, Hargreaves and Carrick would be my midfield. England have no player who can dictate the tempo, they will continue to try but it won't happen. It's obvious watching them, nobody commands the ball, there is little composure and it will be exposed by better sides. We don't even have the pace to counter effectively, we have no forward who runs the channels and plays off the shoulder, we ooze mediocrity and I'll be amazed if we pass the quarters, even with Capello in charge.

| Good results for Spain and to a lesser extent Argentina. Spain apart, very few WC contenders are looking the part at the moment.

Why when gareth Barry is a better player than both of them. Barry has been the England team's best midfielder in the past year. He was very good again last night. England's MOTM last night, wthout a doubt.
Carrick did very little again last night. The commentators tried to put the change in England's fortunes down to Carrick's introduction. I nearly fell off my chair. They also never criticised Carrick when he gave the ball away two or three times and his passes were poor. I have never known a midfielder so scared and heartless as Carrick. He is happy to give the ball to the centre-halves and other midfielders rather than try and take control himself.

| The sooner Terry is dropped the better, he has been sh*t for the past few months, and carried that into last night's game.
