Just read this morning that Zuffa who own the UFC have bought out Strikeforce!

I dont know were that would leave Paul Daley but also read that hes sulking about it saying that he may pull out of his title fight with Diaz and just fight for BAMMA.....As he does not want to put cash in there pockets.

If thats true,he would be making a big mistake, effectively ruining what was left of his mma career!

theres a 20 minute video interview on bloody elbow with dana, which says as things stand, they're operating still as two seperate entities, all contracts that are in place will be honoured and for the time being scott coker gets to run strikeforce with minimal involvement from zuffa.

Surely the long term plan will be to use Strikeforce as a second tier competion to the UFC with fighters such as Overeem,Silva,Diaz etc moving over?

business as usual, till contracts run out, then its free market and contract negotiations as normal,

strikeforce have a contract for about 2 years with showtime as well, who aparently aren't big fans of dana either.

I expect Jones will become one of the best pound for pound fighters in the world..great striking,wrestling,jiu jitsu...all round amazing!,i can see him keeping that belt for some time!

Not wanting to take anything away from Jones as he is my favourite fighter and always knew he would win the title but Shogun was so out of shape its laughable. But, thats shoguns fault.

Shogun never looks in shape...not as bad as he did for the mark Colman fight that was embarassing!

I think Johnny bones Jones would have gone through anyone last night, he was patient and relaxed and the speed of his striking is unbelievable,Rua was just too slow everywere in that fight..

Should be an interesting fight with Rashad being team mates and having inside info on one another.....would go for jones again in that one but he wont have it all his way IMO

Really dissapointed with Shogun, lost a lot of money on him as I just couldnt have him as outsider of the two. But he just didnt look his old self in reality and to be fair Jones took him apart.

I have to back Dan Hardy at 13/10 to beat Rumble Johnson. This is a make or break fight for Hardy in reality (who would have said that before the St Pierre fight) but he has the tools to knock this guy out, and thats what Im hoping he will do !

Rubbish take down defence and useless on the ground.His wrestling hasnt improved one bit since the gsp fight.

I reckon hel get one more chance before hes cut.

Dana White has said that it may not be the end of Hardy in the ufc but its something he has to think about.

Id definately stick im in with another wrestler and if he cant handle it then he shouldnt be there..strikeforce it will be then.

English fighters dont have ground games, ergo, will never amount to much in MMA

Its difficult for british/european fighters to keep up with the americans as there brought up wrestling from a young age through school and college...we'l be behind for years,the only ones from over here who will develop a good wrestling base are the young kids who will train mma early years an not just striking like the majority that are knocking about at the moment.

Hathaway has a decent ground game an also terry etim has some excellent jiu jitsu.

For me its the most boring discipline in mma but without a doubt the best base to be successful.

awesome, if you hadn't read about it, thiago silva fought at ufc 125 and when he had his urine tested it flagged up as suspicious, having looked at the b sample, its been identified as animal urine.

He has always irritated me. This said, he is a solid fighter. Should do well against the lesser competition. However that is a tough first fight to be taking. I would expect Mousasi to win against Jardine,
