Ronaldo missing Old Trafford:

The Real Madrid fans do not support their team enough when they are playing badly and should try to be as initimidating to visiting teams as the Manchester United supporters, according to forward Cristiano Ronaldo.

'We know that we have the duty to put on a show but sometimes it's not possible,' the Portuguese international, who joined Real from United for a record fee this year, told Wednesday's Marca sports daily.
'We always try but at times the team are not playing well and the fans could give us more support,' he added.

'The Manchester United fans, for example, were very intimidating for Liverpool or Manchester City in those matches. I think that if our supporters tried to do that it would be much better for everyone and would give the players a big boost.'

I think Ronaldo is talking nonsense when he says the support at Old Trafford intimdated Liverpool and Citeh players.

I think the United players like him, Rooney, Scholes etc were the ones doing the intimidation.

We have an awesome home record. It aint because of our supporters, that's for sure. It's down to the players and management.

some good news for united, with the win over hull they reached the 40 points mark meaning that in theory they are safe from relegation for another season

That somebody with the record of Joey Barton can find the gall to criticise anyone's attitude.

Despite the fact he's a kn*bhead, he actually talks a lot of sense. What he's talked about in that interview is nothing to do with what he's done, it's a completely different topic.

I actually think he comes across as a decent person deep down, he just had a bad upbringing and loses his temper too easily which obviously can't be defended.

If Mike Ashley gave an interview criticising other club chairmen, it wouldn't mtter if he was 100% accurate. You and 95% of the Newcastle supporters would spontaneously combust at the thought that he could dare to criticise other chairmen given the dire job he's done.
