Obviously, but to say Hull will go down regardless because they can't spend enough, if Paul Duffen has anything about him he will give Brown a large transfer kitty.

Bitterness?
As I said a couple of weeks back
Alan Shearer, the worst caretaker since Ian Huntley.
The fans have murdered Newcastle United, and hopefully this weekend, they will get the funeral they have been asking for.
And we'll have a party to celebrate.

in one of my earlier posts i asked if you had the money to spend in the summer.
i actaully really like your club. as a non league fan of FC Halifax Town i am happy that a team has come from the bottom tear of the football league to the premiership it shows that it can be done and i respect you for what you have done in getting to where you are today.
i think that the one off game i just cant see you beating the man utd mix of reserves and fringe players. i might be wrong.

I'll let you off, I go to watch Warrington Town often, did you come to Cantilever Park this year? Halifax always bring a massive following everywhere!
I also agree that we probably won't beat United, but a draw and Newcastle draw/lose would see us home and dry.

i did it wasnt as bad as some of the grounds that we have gone to this year mossley had to be the worst though and maybe trafford as well. lancaster and curzon have good grounds but yours certainly wasnt the worst.
i went to the game yes but i am affraid i cant remember the result.
we always bring a big following cause we are a big club in the league we are in and i was disapointed we could not get promotion we had the squad to do it.

Yeah, I was surprised too! 1-1 it finished, we scored the opener against the run of play with a little bit of luck and then from then on you dominated the game and equalised just before half time. We were quite fortunate to get a point really.
Newcastle Blue Star was the best away game, a 14000 capacity stadium or something (Newcastle Falcons RU ground) and about 50 in attendance.
It was strange seeing Halifax again, I remember going watching Hull City v Fax numerous times. How contrasting the clubs are now...

it is yes. hopefully next season though both our clubs can have a good season and do well i am hoping halifax can win the league next year. we really should be doing with the size of the club we should be a able to attract the best players in the league to play for us. the shay was not nearly as bigger fourtress this season as it should have been. everyone uped there game when they cane to the shay but we have to expect that and deal with it.

We'll find out how bitter Fergie is on Sunday. Wonder if he's tempted to pick a really crap team to guarantee Newcastle's, and Shearer's, slide into oblivion.
On a different subject - who would you like to see manage Newcastle next season? Realistic options only.

He can do what he likes, I wouldn't blame him for putting the kids out. If it was me, I wouldn't be risking any of my key players either. Plus even if Hull do win, it by no means sends us down.

Shearer. If he does leave, Roberto Martinez would be the second choice. Temuri Ketsbaia is another possibility too.
