I think he's a w*nker myself, but you can see he has alot of potential and talent. His hands are so quick that his combinations could be absolutely devastating in years to come when he gets even more experience. His defence needs some serious work there. He got caught a few times and they hurt him.

Seems an odd time to do it, just before his last fight. I know it'll mean he probably gets more money, but is there more to this than we're being told?

In 1935 The Dragon Slayers as they were known defeated Canterbury bulldogs 91-6, which is still the biggest win in the Club's History. In 1907, the St George district had a club in the Sydney rugby union competition. Interestingly, the team's area was referred to as the 'Illawarra suburbs'. A resolution to form a St George rugby league club was made at a local meeting held in early 1908, but the movement faltered and collapsed. St George, wearing the district colours of red and white, played in the NSWRL's Third Grade competition in 1910, and formed a President's Cup team in 1911. References were found at the time to district teams being called 'The Saints'.the perfect 11

| Outstanding performance from Berto!
Super fast hands with good power in both, can fight in the middle of the ring aswell as on the ropes and throws a fantastic variety of punches. What more can you say after a display like that, very impressive, again.

That was my first impression when I heard about it. Very strange timing.

He's improving with every fight and looks like a potential all-time great (and has done, frankly, for a few years now). The initial knock-down was a great piece of boxing and he didn't get over-excited upon resumption. Knew he had a long time left in the round to finish it off, but kept his work-rate up to prevent any possible recovery.
Given that he's in his early twenties, he could dominate the welterweight division for a very long time to come.

He is in a very competitive division, plenty of good fights out there for him.

He is and there are plenty of fighters more than capable of beating him. He just looks so comfortable though, and with him still having a few years worth of improvement left, it'll take a really special effort to beat him.

| Manny Pacquiao completely destroyed David Diaz last night to win the WBC Lightweight title and proved why he is the P4P king at the moment. How good would a Hatton v Pacquiao fight at 140lbs be next year? I'd love to see that as it'd be a real challenge for both guys.

Going to watch the MP fight this afternoon.
Fight with Hatton would be good but not sure at 140lbs, Pacman has just moved up from junior lightweight so not sure if he'd want to move up again.
I hope Hatton's next fight will be against Malignaggi and then see where he goes from there.

Hatton will fight Malignaggi in November, that's a certainty, it's the fight after that for Hatton who nobody would be sure of. I think it may be wise for both fighters to have one more fight before taking on each other in the spring/summer 2009. For Hatton he needs another confidence boosting fight and I feel he needs a good performance aswell. Malignaggi is ideal as he'll be quick and tough, but it's a fight that's very winnable. Pacquiao probably needs to fight another top ranked lightweight to make the fight with Hatton more appetising. Hatton said he has been approached by Pacquiao about a possible future fight, so I reckon there's a great chance of it happening next year.
I've no doubt Pacquiao could move up to Jnr Welterweight no problem btw. Apparently he weighed 147lbs for the fight last night! You'll be impressed with his performance against Diaz, no doubt about it. He was excellent.

If you think Hatton will get in the ring with Pacquiao you are seriously deluded, the days of Hatton fighting any of the current, on top their game, fighters is over.
Mayweather sorted that one out - Hatton is a shadow of of the fighter he was earlier in his career.

Whether he is the shadow of his former ability or not (I believe there is still a fair bit left in Hatton btw) that doesn't mean he isn't a big draw in boxing. Hatton wants the big fights, why do you think the De La Hoya fight has been mentioned? Hatton will go for the fights that bring in the most money as he's done everything he could possibly do in his division.
If Pac Man comes calling (and he already has btw) and the demand for it is there then Hatton will go for it, I've no doubt about it.

Hatton is now into hand picking oponents he knows he can beat to protect his legacy, the De La Hoya fight was boxing hype, nothing more.
Why do you think he now fights the drastically overrated Malignaggi? A fight by the way that he could actually lose.
