Thank you, Malc: |

I'd love to see Reyes at Goodison, he is a class player would do wonders for us but as you say probably just a rumour. Can't see it coming off. '"
He's lightweight, a cheat and average. He didn't like London, so I severly doubt he will entertain Liverpool.
Quote: Dan_FC "
And it's amazing that being average can create delusions of grandeur.
You have Moyes, you have performed well in terms of VFM. However, once Moyes moves, and you get a couple of duff big money signings (City fans know all about them), then you could well find your club slipping very fast down the Prem. That kind of scenario could quite easily be around the corner.
You are coming across as increasingly jealous with each post. The more you try and justify the bile, the more pathetic you come across.
The one thing I want most is to see us play great football. I would hate to see the terribel dirge your team produces. Diving at every possible opportunity within 20 yards of the box in the hope you get a free-kick so you can put it high in the air towards the goal. You score and then hold out for a one-nil win. Everton are the reincarnation of Arsenal in the 70s. Ugly, ugly football.
Scousers have always been jealous of Manchester. Can't say I blame you.

I know you like to kiss United ar5e, but describing their second team as one of the best teams in the country is pushing it even for you.

| Quote: D.D. "As ever, the most amount of jealousy and insults is from the Everton fans and I can see why. We are two clubs who live in the shadow of their more famous neighbours and the clubs supporters are very similar in many ways. It's understandable that one will become jealous of the other when they see that the other could be on the verge of something special and they will go to any lengths to deny it's existence for their own sanity. '"
I don't count myself anything like Man City and thankfully I never will. As I have said many times I am not jealous as I have yet to see something to be jealous of. I am not denying it exists because nothing does yet, if you sign Tevez, Eto'o and big names players then fair play and I hope you do go onto challenge SKY's 'Big Four' tbh.
Quote: D.D. "We won't trouble the top four next season and we will have to build because the big stars won't join us now. I'm realistic enough to see that. However, you and I both know that it isn't just about next year and it's certainly sod all to do with the last thirty.'"
Can't argue with that and if more City fans had this sort of attitude I would respect that, the problem is most people see money and instantly think the likes of Messi, Kaka, Eto't etc will want to join and they don't, that's not to say in a few years you won't sing them players.
Quote: D.D. "The fact of the matter is, with the financial backing we have got, possibly the best youth academy in the business, one of the best stadiums in the country, over 40,000 regular supporters, the future is looking very bright indeed and it's only a matter of time before we are mixing it with the big four.'"
Spot on, if the money is managed well and development is right them who knows what could happen at City in years to come. The future does look bright, but then Danny Cadamateri had a bright future when he came through so things can go wrong but things do look well for the future.
Quote: D.D. "Congratulations on a couple of 5th placed finishes but that has gone. You have no money, a distinctly lesser youth academy, a ramshackle stadium and about 5,000 less supporters.
I know who most people will be backing to have a more successful decade to come and it won't be you.
People can back who they like, it won't be the first or last time that people called things wrong. Thank you for the congratulations because the team simply deserves it, they worked exceptionally hard for it over the last two years and we played really well along the way. Our youth academy is producing some fantastic players for the future and i'm sure we will start to see them come through soon. No one actually knows how much money we have, least of all you but we have managed to spend what we needed too over the years and we are going along better than most sides. The stadium size and a few thousand more supporters does not mean anything or win you anything.
All I said at the beginning was I don't see anything to suggest City will trouble the big four as people suggest and attempting to buy these 'superstars' is a bit premature, I don't think you will argue with that but then again.

As I said in my earlier a post it is just a rumour and I don't expect him to come but then again City after some of the players city think they can sign, who knows.

Thank you, some sense and this from a red too , I never thought I would see the day we agreed on something but top post mate. well said

It'll be interesting to see how we'll play next season as for the last few years everything has gone through Ronaldo who took on and beat players to get himself into goal scoring positions. Where as from what i've seen Valencia is the type of player that will beat a man but then look to cross or pass the ball so hopefully our strikers can stay up front instead of having too drop deep looking for the ball like has happened in the past. Also with Ronaldo gone it'll now give Rooney the chance to step forward and play the way we all know he can do, i think his game has suffered the last few years as he's been pushed out wide to accomodate the free role Ronaldo was given.
As for looking like one of the Jacksons we also have Nani

| 40,000 at the Bernabeu for Kaka's presentation tonight, wonder if as many will turn up to see Ronaldo unveiled.

Agree with you there, 17 million for a player that never made it in La Liga is a bit steep. Mind you Real Madrid's manic spending spree has cause hyper inflation in the European transfer market.

Have Everton performed well in Europe? Nope. Thus what I said is correct.
Believe me, Europe cost us dearly in terms of our league position.
Shouldn't you be at Michael Jackson's memorial at Paddy's Teepee? I can feel the out-pouring of pity and grief from down here. Our prayers are with all Scousers at this difficult time
