| Just watched the MOTD highlights of Fulham- Man United, mainly to see the Rooney sending off and whether it was justified. IMO Rooney clearly deserved the second yellow. He threw the ball with anger and aggression and it was such a display of petulance that a yellow card was the right thing to do. Fergie might claim that he was throwing the ball back in the direction of where the free kick was taking place, but he threw the ball back with about 5 times the power that was needed.
As for the whining about Dempsey not being booked. He could have been booked for that, but it would have been a soft and harsh booking. It's easy for the ref to give the player the benefit of the doubt and let him off with it.
Do Man Utd players really want every offence like Dempsey's punished with yellow cards? If they do they'd have also had Ronaldo sent off on Saturday. His remonstration with the ref because Dempsey wasn't booked was a yellow card offence. He repeated his hassling of the ref later in the game and got away with another talking to.
Rooney's assault on the corner flag? Who GAF?
Thought Fulham got lucky in the run up to their second. I think about 6 or 7 /10 of those type of challenges would have been blown for foot up. Nice finish though.

2nd time this season and seem to remember it happening to a live game when they were in the Conference too.

Everton, Man U and Chelsea got beat and Liverpool offered out another hammering over the weekend, surely that wouldn't have anything to do with it, would it?

This title win will be much more satisfying now you think you have got a chance again. It was getting a bit dull until the last week.

I bet it'd be even better if you still supported Man U.

It was just a hunch, I've not a clue if you did or didn't, don't particularly care one way or the other, but typical of your type who visit this forum occasionally, offer nothing and say nowt, nothing new there then.

| Quote Lord God Jose Mourinho="Lord God Jose Mourinho"Are you really happy that Liverpool are finally mounting a challenge? I'm not. The closer they get to the top the more chance they'll manage to actually win the PL. I hope those ******* never win the PL.
The closer to the top the more chance that Benitez will be allowed to bring in bigger signings to bring the title to Anfield.'"
I was been sarcastic.

| Quote Robbie Rotten="Robbie Rotten"I'm a little mixed on the international break. It'd be great if they all go out, keep fit and perform well, continuing in their club form, but I would rather we went without it, as we've got some serious momentum going here, I'd hate for the international break to affect it.'"
I think the break has come at the perfect time for United, whilst it's not come at a good time for Liverpool.
Like Keith says it'll be interesting to see how both teams react after the break.
How do Liverpool fans feel about Gillett's latest comments that he is considering selling his stake? It's no coincidence really that your very good form has come at a time when off-the-field matters were pushed aside/sorted, it just seems stupid by the Yank to be coming out now, and potentially disrupting the atmosphere again.

| Here's one for EE, or any of the other city fans:-
Radio Manchester's phone in had city fans queueing up to slag off Robinho. Not just for Sunday but for the season. They can't all of been moustache sporting, white denim jean wearing numpties from Cheadle - some of them were proper blues.
What is the verdict on his 1st season in England and do people thing he'll stay?*
*Ashley Young need not be brought up.
