done zarkander in the hurdle race tomorrow 11/8, has the benefit of a run over the other two rivals and was a very good run too.. big fan of grandouet too but think this will just be a tune up for next time out.

zarkander was a real battler, grandouet ran a stormer though for his first run back, might be closer in march!

oscar whisky is quickly becoming one of my fave horses, a machine, think they will go for the champion hurdle again instead of big bucks... go off from the front and make it a real test, could see him winning it

looks like big bucks may not be running again this season, while al ferof has been confirmed as out for at least 12 months. along with the news sizing europe probably missing the king george.
What a sombre day for me. big buck's will go down as my favourite racehorse flat or jumps of all time and is the only reason i've started doing the aintree thursday now that i live a bit nearer. gutted. i really hope it is a bit of smoke and mirrors and he turns up at cheltenham.

bad news about big bucks and al ferof

neither wil return now till end of 2013 at the earliest..such a shame big bucks cant win the world hurdle again and al ferof was looking like a new star..

mind you hunt ball at 50/1 is still looking good now for the king george



and itching to back oscar whisky at 7/1 for the world hurdle but knowing my luck they will run him in the champion hurdle so will wait.. either way ill back him in whatever he runs in, think he will go for the world hurdle now though 7/1 massive!!

We've definitely ruled out the King George for Sizing Europe due to the ground. The Dial A Bet chase and Lexus chase are now his two options

Poxy weather, antepost bet down. I still maintain he would've won it had the ground been good.

done lujeanie today which just finished in a dead heat!!!!!! gutted how close! 5/1 so still made profit and got it in lucky15 with ovett,puffin billy and simonsig.

the hurdle race is a cracker!!! would prob have to stick with countrywide flame though unless you think cinder and ashes can reverse the form on same going.
