Not me. I watched it and was wanting him to win, but I must admit I'm still finding it hard to actually like him. He just seems so miserable and lacking in personality. He just doesn't seem to enjoy any of it, as if he's another of the elite that play tennis that was dragged to practice every day at 6am in his mother's Range Rover and has resented it ever since.
I was very impressed with his ability however, he's got the full range of shots now and has improved dramatically from a few years back when I last sat through one of his matches.

Sorry mate, but that's total nonsense. If he hated it and didn't care there's no way he'd get as pumped up as he does, as frustrated as he does, you just can't put on that type of emotion.

Some people are just cursed with a miserable tone of voice and aren't very demonstrative. Ivan Lendl was hardly a natural when it comes to smiling for the cameras.
Philosophical point. Which is best: laugh-a-minute, plucky loser or sullen, arch-miserablist winner?

| I for one thought Murray would never win a grand slam.
I wanted him to, I'm not like a load of other Murray haters I know.
Well done Murray, the best player on the night and clearly quite capable of sorting out Jokovic and Federer in the future.
So he may win more given Nadal's problems.
The main thing is that the Monkey is off his back now and he can feel more confident in his undoubted ability.

| I do wonder how many classed Chris Hoy as 'Scottish' during the Olympics?

| Sat up watching the match and cheering Novak on, but alas it wasn't to be.
Murray deserved the win.

HE didn't make 'derogatory' comments about our darling England football team though, so alas nobody dislikes him

.....Those 'comments'!!!....Said in jest, in a light-hearted conversation between Murray, Tim Henman and a journalist, and now a reason for thousands of nobhead Englishmen to display their knuckle dragging tendancies...

| Great end to a brilliant summer of sport. So glad that he won one, haters are going to hate but he is the best tennis player Britain have had post war and he would have won something before now if he wasn't up against 3 of the best players of all time. Men's tennis is in a golden era right now and to win a slam in it is a brilliant achievement.
