| Just got NBA 10 for PS3, supposed to be heaps better this year. Not long until the season now, hopefully the better coverage over here now and more starts emerging it will help it regain its popularity of the 90s..

| I've watched a couple of the Raps pre season games and I hardly recognise anyone! It's going to take me a while to put faces to all of the new names that have come in. We certainly look to have strengthened our bench though. Hopefully there'll be enough pressure on the starters to keep them on their toes. Still looking a bit rough defensively, but I expect that to pick up once the season gets going.
Wonder how long it will take them to batter the excitement out of me this season.

| I am a massive fan of American sports, but the NBA is the only one that I have struggled to get into. I like to watch the highlights but often lose interest when trying to watch a full game. I appreciate the athleticism of the players, but feel one of the reasons I have not really got into it is that I often see it as a “you score we score” scenario.
Another reason is that I have not adopted a team to call my own, and have had various interest in several teams over the years, unlike the NFL (dolphins), NHL (maple Leafs) and MLB (Cubs) where I have supported my chosen teams for many years.
Anyway, I decided that I am going to pick a team to root for and see how my interest pans out this season. Picking a team was not as easy as I had hoped for, but I decided to go with the Bulls. I am a huge Cubs fan and have been to the windy city to watch them play at Wrigley. I have supported them since the late 80’s and loved Chicago when I went. The first NFL game I saw was the 85 Super Bowl that the bears won, so I have always had a soft spot for them, but did not want to be a glory supporter so decided to go with the fins as my team. I also consider the blackhawks to be my second team when it comes to hockey. Throw into the mix that I have seen the united centre where the bulls play with my very own eyes from the top of the Sears tower, and my obvious affinity and I suppose that the Bulls were the only choice. So, I am pinning my flag to the Chicago Bulls mast and going to give the NBA a real chance and see if I can fall in love with it like other US sports.
I am ready and waiting for the season to tip off tonight, and hopefully I will be a fully fledged hoops fan by June 2010.
Go Bulls

You need to support a team like the Raptors mate. Then you wont be seeing "you score, we score" matches. I've seen us take a 20 point lead and still lose.
Besides, we are practically the European team of the NBA.

I thought about the Raptors, but it is depressing enough only supporting 1 team from Toronto. I don't think the nerves would hold up to rooting for a second.

As a Leafs/Jays fan, I can sympathise entirely with that viewpoint.

Leafs, Jays, Raptors, Argos, TFC, Rock - all miserable failures in their last seasons.
I only follow two of these (Jays & Raps), but when you throw in Hull's last season and the fact that West Ham are 2nd from bottom of the EPL, I'm not having the best time of it!! I've decided that I'm going to adopt New Orleans as my NFL team because I need something to cheer about!! (plus I'm going there at crimbo and will take in my first NFL game at the Superdome).

I'm sick to death of watching losers. I fully expect them to nose dive now that they have my support.

In which case - and as a Falcons fan - booo!!!
Seriously, the Big Easy sounds like a cracking place to take in Christmas. Will that be the Cowboys game the week before or the Bucs game?

The Buccs game, so I'm expecting a big win.
For the first time in ages I can't wait for Christmas to come.

You'll be happy this morning Spooks as your Raptors handed an ass kicking to the Cavs last night.
It's performances like last night that make me think that Lebron will leave at the end of the year, wheather the Cavs win the title or not. Without a triple double last night and some amazing blocks against the Celtics the night before from James, the 2 defeats could have been even heavier. He is desprate for the Cavs to move it on up to the next level and if they don't I can see him going to New York. Sure, he'll still have to cary the team, but he'll be on a lot more bucks doing it.

Great win for the Raps last night, although they did yet again manage to give up a 20 point lead in just one quarter with some terrible shooting. Fortunately they got back on track in the 4th and it never really looked in doubt in the final minutes. The Cavs looked out of sorts and we were getting all kinds of space we're not usually afforded. As impressive as we were, there was still that lapse in the 3rd so I'll take this win with a pinch of salt as it's early days. Lots of positives to go along with the win, including an immense first half performance from Bargnani, a solid double double from Bosh and the surprise hit of the night Marco Belinelli. If he keeps that up the fans are going to love him. Demar DeRozen looks the real deal too, which is very exciting. It was rocking in the ACC last night. Best atmosphere in ages.
Add to that the Phillies turning over the Yankees and I'm a happy camper this morning.

Demar DeRozen has Kobe like skills, as for the Magic..Ryan Anderson is one to watch out for. Rashard Lewis is missing the first 10 games and Anderson will shine in his absence, by far the deepest team in the league and will win the NBA title in the franchise's 21st year.
