I've seen the tackle about 20 times now and don't think it was that bad of a tackle, you see tackles like that in every game be it on the park or in front of 70 thousand, the only reason Shawcross got the red card was because of the injury Ramsey suffered. If he hadn't broke his leg it would have been a free kick and maybe a booking at worst imo Ballacks second yellow was a far worse challenge and deserved a straight red.

I've seen a few pictures now and in a couple it does look like Ramseys leg could be broke before contact with Shawcross
